“Best place to eat on the westside.“

“Wooooowwww such a gem of a find! I was hungry looking for a kebab and came across A&V. The warmth and hospitality I encountered were when walking in from A&V was amazing! They explained everything patiently when I asked what to order.

I ended up selecting a chicken shawarma plate and soup and wooooow it was the best chicken shawarma I’ve had in SoCal and I’ve tried a loooot of shwarma places. The chicken was cooked fresh over a charcoal grill infusing it with so much smoke and flavor only a charbroiled cooker can have.

The combination of everything in the soft lavash was sooooo delicious and super generous in terms of portions! I could only eat half of it. Another main highlight are the potatoes! While most kebab places just give fries, A&V hand cut their fires and infused them with garlic oil and cilantro which paired super well with the shwarma.

I would whole heartedly again here again for a shwarma fix.

Even paired it with an Armenian tarragon soda to wash down the deliciousness, amazing!“

“It was my first time at this place, on a friend’s recommendation. The cumin spiced meat was so great!

Usually not a fan of lamb, but the lamb skewers from this place was pretty good, and it also didn’t stink too badly.

The beef kebab was amazing too, the beef was tender and well marinated! The chicken kebab felt a bit dry and not as flavourful compared to the other so I would not recommend.

It’s a good place to socialize as you needed to wait for the skewers to be grilled.

Went on a Saturday, around 730pm, and waited around 30-45 mins for the table to be ready, but this was WELL worth the wait!“

“No place to sit other than a tiny table outside- but its so fun, we always get to talk to other people sitting there who are also eating. I think the chicken cutlet plate is the best. The juiciest chicken ever. Impossible to find parking, gotta order in advance if you dont want to wait 30-40’. Delicious and owner is always friendly! And the eggplant caviar is yum! A bit pricey but could definitely have it for two meals.“

“What a Great Find! First time there and Junior took time to explain the whole menu to us. He also prepared the Delicious meal! We tried the chicken kabob, Shawarama, rice, Mediterranean salad, and hummus with pita bread. Fantastic meal!!! We also watched him prepare a Wrap which was Huge. We definitely be back!!! This great little place is located in the CVS shopping center on Hollywood Way and Verdugo.“

“As a hotpot foodie, by far, this is the most authentic place in town. Not only loved their main menu, hotpot and dry pot, but also enjoyed cucumber, fried sweet buns, and lamp skewers. With icy beer, yum!

They rallied to make sure I got the wrap I ordered for my son, and I am extremely grateful for the team taking the time to make him a delicious meal even after all the food was put away for the night. “Dynamite Mediterranean spot located in a Lawndale area ghost kitchen. Everything that I tried here was fresh-tasting, well-seasoned and so delicious! Standouts for me were the kafta kabob and the gyro meat. I was very impressed with the authenticity of the flavors and the loving care put into the preparation and the presentation. And, the accompanying baba ganoush was very fresh and tasty. David, the chef and owner (along with his wife) is very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be returning to try some other items on the menu.“

They have this setup where the skewers would *automatically* spin! 🤯 (I'm way more impressed by this machine than I should be. 🤣) Skewers are really yummy; lamb's my favorite. 😋 Also they have the special kind of chapssal tangsuyuk that is made from sticky rice flour and is really fluffy and chewy; I always get it here!“
