Cookie shops often pop up, have a good run (or not), then pop away. You know who hasn't faded into obscurity? Mrs. Fields! The mall cookie shop staple! They been in the game way longer than I have - since 1977! I remember mall hangs back in my younger years and popping in for a cookie. Getting a Mrs. Fields' cookie cakes from one of your friends in high school was super cool, lol! I think what's kept Mrs. Fields going so strong is their consistency. After my husband and I hit up a movie, we decided to go to Mrs. Fields for some cookies. Upon arrival, a lovely woman greeted us and started taking our orders. As she was getting things ready, a man came in and took over for her. Unfortunately, it didn't feel very friendly. It felt like he was rushing us, and when he asked a question, he wouldn't wait to hear us respond with our full answer and would cut us off mid-sentence.
