“It was my first time here because a good friend recommended it. We came here for lunch. We got seated right away and ordered our food. The appetizer came out within 5 mins and the rest followed. The food was delish AND our waiter was very attentive and kept refilling our glasses of water! Great service, too! I would definitely come back and I highly recommend this place! Thank you for a good first impression!“
“I have seen these locations many times when I came to shop in this small plaza but always see it empty so I decided to give it a try they definitely have good tasting food & excellent customer service staff were very attentive and came to check us not many places do this but I highly recommend this location MUST “
“Didn't have to wait for a table on a Friday night for a party of two. I think if you're a larger party, you may have to wait. Got cha gio, pho tai chin, and a cafe sua da. The cha gio and cafe sua da was nothing special. Not the best I've had, but not bad at all. The star of the show was the broth of the pho. It was very tasty, with no overpowering notes from a singular spice. All the ingredients from the beef in the pho tai, to the vegetables served with the cha gio were very fresh.“
“Check In: Make sure you check in on Yelp for 1 free Herbal Iced Tea!Parking: Parking can be a bit difficult on the weekends. I visited on a Sunday and was not able to find any parking near the restaurant. But I was able to find a spot near the Old Spaghetti Factory. There’s a lot of restricted time zones, specific parking, and metered parking.Environment/Ambiance: It was very nostalgic for me when I walked in because the ambiance gave off Vietnamese vibes. The marble tables, wooden chairs, vases, utensils, and plates were imported from Vietnam. I recognized the vases bc my grandma had the same ones lol! They also have an open kitchen concept. I love their modern take on traditional Vietnamese dishes.Service: Everyone was amazing. Shout out to our server Ben! Constantly checked up on us and ensured we were enjoying our dinner. They even have robot service! The robot only brought us the sides that came with the pho we ordered.Food & drinks:1) Pho Tai Filet Mignon, carpaccio-style - This was my first time trying pho carpaccio-styled, and it was sooo delicious! Such a great concept. For those who don’t know what carpaccio style is - it is thinly sliced rare beef, drizzled with oil and lemon or lime. I was advised to squeeze the lime first and spray some 40° nuoc mam for extra flavor. Then take some meat and dip it into the pho broth. The meat wasn’t too chewy! I’m used to eating cooked meat with pho, but I absolutely looove this style better! 10/102) Pho Xe Lua - I was told this was one of their most popular pho bowls. They were very generous with the meats. I didn’t even need to add any sauces to the broth bc it tasted amazing the way it was. I could definitely tell their broth was brewed for at least 48 hours; it very smooth and no MSG. My favorite part was the short rib! It easily came off the bone and full of flavor. They offer unlimited noodles, so of course I took advantage! 10/103) Fish Sauce Fries - I started off with the Fish Sauce Fries as appetizers. It came with a “female” and “male” 40° nuoc mam perfume bottle. Such a fun idea! The fries were already tossed in fish sauce, but if you want more flavor, a couple spritz of the “perfume” will do. They also gave a generous amount of fries for an appetizer. 10/104) Herbal Iced Tea - So refreshing! After eating two steaming bowls of pho and nuoc mam fries, this drink really helped refresh everything. It came in a cute cup, topped with floral. 9/105) Vietnamese Coffee - I’m a crackhead for caffeine, so of course I had to try their Vietnamese coffee. This is the definition of Vietnamese coffee: extra ice, thick, concentrated, and not overwhelmingly sweet. It also came in a unique cup. 10/10Pricing: Prices are $$$. Not as surprised since prices have gone up literally everywhere. I’d say it’s worth it because they are very generous with their portions.Parking: Parking: Parking can be a bit difficult on the weekends. I visited on a Sunday and was not able to find any parking near the restaurant. But I was able to find a spot near the Old Spaghetti Factory. There’s a lot of restricted time zones, specific parking, and metered parking.“
“Happy place with very fresh and delicious food !! This place apparently has a new owner since last year and I want to congratulate them as they did a very good job! Completely better vibe.We had Pho, Golden Pear Salad and summer Roll allll of them was great and everything I tasted was super fresh !Parking: Parking is easy just in front of the restaurantKid-friendliness: Calm and flat place, yeahs kids can be here :) no play ground here please :)Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp.“
“Second visit in a week.Hands down the best pho I have ever had. I believe that they use real bone broth (not the powder), so I can tase the umami, didn’t even have to put any garnish in the pho. Also, the fish sauce fry is a must try, can’t find it elsewhere.“
“Love this place! Pho is excellent both in flavor and quality. They offer two sizes: small and large and both at a great price. Quality of the meat is good too. The restaurant is very clean, lots of seating and the owners are very kind. HUGE plus that they're open late! My boyfriend and I love that we can come here after he gets out of work and grab some food either to either dine-in or to-go. Highly recommend!!“
“Very impressive!Great broth, great beef. We had the Pho combo and the Wagyu fried rice, both were fantastic! Kids got free noodle with clear broth.Even the Thai tea was so tasty with intense flavor but not too sweet! The service was ? on the cake.Definitely recommend!“
“While visiting Disneyland, I searched for and visited a Vietnamese restaurant.Located next to a shopping mall with Korean restaurants, about 20 minutes away by car.Parking is convenient and very friendly. The food prices are reasonable and above all, the portions are very large.I ordered large and had a lot left over, but ordering regular would still be enough.I recommend the rib rice noodles.Be careful because mix includes crucibles and parts. The taste of the rice noodles is pretty good, but the sweetness is quite strong, perhaps because of the American style. It would be nice to eat it once in a while when you get tired of American food. You can choose between thin and thick noodles.“
“My girlfriend and I found this place by chance and I am SO glad we did! The food was absolutely amazing! The owner came out to our table and talked to us. He's such a friendly guy. The chef came out and talked to us for a bit too. We had to wait for our table for a few minutes when we 1st got there, but I definitely know why. This place is small, but consistently steady with business. I HIGHLY recommend this place and we will definitely be back again!“
“Everything was freshly made, and delicious. Woke up craving Vietnamese (pho ga) chicken noodle soup this morning. Found this place on Magnolia in Little Saigon that serves it up right. The Chinese donuts are freshly fried and taste great with the broth and coffee.????“
“The pho is about as good as you can get, it was the best pho I’ve had in a while. The Passion Fruit drink is refreshing and appears to be handcrafted, with the pulpy seeds and all, and was perfectly sweet even without an add-on. As a drink, it reminds me of 7Leaves’ sunset passion or peach teas, which also have a sweet, fresh fruit taste. The food has been consistently good, though prices are on the higher side but unfortunately are actually the going rate in 2024. Fast service“
“We started coming because it was halal. We skipped out on pho tasty to try it and to our surprise we liked the food here. Egg roll is a must. Pho is delicious. It's not as crowded. It's a chill atmosphere. They may need more servers in the evenings.“
“Finally got to try this place, I really only used to have time at night to go, and the plaza was a bit too dark for me but I braved the darkness and was not disappointed. Upon entering I felt like I was entering one of those karaoke bars since they had a little drum set set up in the corner and a huge speaker. I ordered the special pho in a large and it came with TONS of meat. I usually love brisket (gau) and they have one of the softest briskets I've had in So Cal! Top 3. I absolutely love the brisket at pho 101 and this is like a dead ringer for the softness and butteriness. Yes, I still have braces and am picky about my meats! The soup was very good, I came towards the end of the night and so I got at the best of the soup, it was so satisfying. Nice light, perfect saltiness and wonderful layers of flavors. The woman helping me was really nice but I did come in right before closing so I didn't really expect much, or even if I would be sat down. I'm happy I got to the special pho here. Will definitely be back. 8/10 over broth, noodles, and meat.“
“I have been getting Pho since I was in high school here so like the last 20 years. Their broth is always amazing, the brisket is my favorite. I always order it when I am sick, it’s literally makes me feel 1000% better! Always so fast when ordering and very nice people!“
“Simple place with TVs playing local news. The pho was delicious with flavorful broth.I would come again if I lived closer and wanted pho.Oddly enough, they put up the closed sign at 7:41pm on Sunday, so maybe the hours aren't as reliable...?“
“I've hit the Pho goldmine. I picked the house special Pho. The broth is at the peak of perfection, perfectly seasoned, with hints of spices. Its served at the perfect temperature with the right amount of raw and a variety of delicious cooked beef.Pho 86 Restaurant is a MUST stop when you're in the mood for Pho.“
“Rainy day, stopped by to pickup chicken pho and chicken rice dish. The female at the register, think she handles the front of the restaurant, always nice and helpful. There were others ordering for take-out too. Chicken pho and rice always delish.“
“Amazing place, great prices, and really nice servers. We had a big group so food coming out was a bit slow, completely understandable. I just loved #23. The vermicilli was so crispy and the sauce on top so flavorful. Their current deal on free drinks, such as soda, soy milk, and Thai tea was just the cherry on top! Would definitely come back if I'm in the area.“
“Update to add: Tonight I didn't feel like having pho so I got the Vermicelli with Grilled Pork (bun thit nuong). Definitely hit the spot and it is soooo delicious! This noodle bowl is packed with veggies and is served with fish sauce on the side. Pour it in and you're good to go!“
“While the prices increased a tad from the last time I went, it's expected with the times and is still an amazing sub-10 at $9. Much wow. the pork chop rice and bbq chicken red rice tasted pretty good and surprisingly the iced tea was complimentary. Service was a bit slow. They're right next door to Thanh Son Tofu which is one of my fav shops: buy a buck each of the different tofu varieties and you've got a delicious and affordable snack.“
“I ordered takeout so I can't speak to their dine-in experience which appears to be most people's complaints. My takeout order was ready quickly after I had placed the order. I got the beef stew pho and it was good but also overly salty! I couldn't finish the carrots in it because it was so salty. I still enjoyed the whole bowl but didn't drink the broth, I would order a regular pho next time or dilute the beef stew broth. I also ordered the egg rolls and the fish sauce was extremely salty too, the egg rolls itself were okay, they weren't amazing but enough to satisfy a craving.“
