Wild Rose Tavern American • $
328 Greenland Blvd, DEATH VALLEY

“This is an okay place to eat. We got pepperoni pizza flatbread. Not a lot of pepperoni on it. Lots of cheese though. Could use more sauce. Tasted okay.

Looks like a fun place to eat though. They have lots of have to play. Darts, Jenga, etc.“

“Honestly a great place with great service. Stopped here twice on our tour, once they didn’t have power so they had Power Out Special - basic ham or turkey sandwich with a soda and chips for $10 cash. Hit the spot between hikes. Second time they had power and the food was great. Burgers were solid, chicken wrap was filling, and the turkey sandwich was legit. Highly recommend, great for families.“

The Inn at Death Valley Dining Room New American • $$$
CA-190, DEATH VALLEY

“Dining options in Death Valley are limited. While we were not staying at the Inn, we chose to go there for dinner, hoping for an upscale meal.

I’m still not clear on whether we were refused admittance to the restaurant because we weren’t staying there or not, but they claimed didn’t have space for us, even though the restaurant was clearly less than half full.

We were invited to sit in the bar and eat. Eating in the bar still lets you order off the full menu. The tables were small and eating in the bar seats was awkward. Our server was fabulous and made up for the attitude we received from the hostess.

Food was decent. Dessert was amazing!“

“Not sure how this place could be rated poorly. It’s a beautiful saloon with great atmosphere and we thought the food was very good. I had the pasta paparedella and my wife had a wedge salad. Both very flavorful and tasty. A must see location in our book. The only thing that would make this place better is some background music. There is no music here at all. Maybe some will like that.“
