“Genuinely great food. Me and my father had the bison burger and it was delicious. Fries were very crispy, everything felt fresh, and the couple of people working there were friendly and courteous. A little pricey but have definitely had much worse for much more. About 40$ for a bison burger meal and a couple draft beers.”

“After having an extremely disappointing meal at The Inn at Death Valley Dining Room the night before, we decided to come here for our last night hoping for a better meal but not expecting much. After all we are in the desert and the nearest services are 57 miles away. The saloon was full and we didn’t have a reservation so we were seated at a high table with stools. Our server was so nice. We met the manger and told him about our extremely disappointing experience at their sister property the night before and asked him what he recommended. He recommended the Oasis Date Burger. Date chutney sounded a little strange so I asked for it on the side. My oh my! It was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! GOAT cheese and arugula and a juicy burger. And the date chutney was delicious - like a sweet and Smokey bbq sauce. The fries were also on point. And the virgin prickly pear margaritas with lime were the perfect thing to sip with this meal. I called the manager over and told him that there was one last kind word and that word was “redemption”. Redemption for the awful and overpriced meal from the night before. It was only a burger but it was definitely a memorable one. It was that good!”

“I have visited the Inn on multiple occasions to capture wedding photos! The major upside of staying here, regardless of the downsides, is just how close it is to the popular spots in the park. Other hotels are just not as close since everything outside of the park is far away. It's also a beautiful location with some good amenities. Just keep in mind that the park is still remote and this location can sometimes lose electricity. It's all a part of the fun!”

“Great place to stop for lunch after a morning hike. We ate at the bar, which I love to do when traveling. Food was excellent, staff was great (look for Matt Damon’s brother). Prices seemed reasonable ($16 for a burger, $9 for a premium draft - Pacific Coast IPA). Decor is well suited to the area.”

“I so enjoyed my first day lunch that i went two more times while visiting Death Valley. Service was fun, attentive and comfortable. Server sang along with the great western music. Tried the Mugilan Burger, Links sandwich and Hot Dog over the three meals. All very good. Not a golfer, however love the 19TH.”

“We had a great experience at The Ranch 1849 Restaurant! We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Based on our visit, the 2.5-star overall rating seems much too low. We’re glad we gave it a chance and would happily return for breakfast!”
