“Stopped here during a 13 hour drive from LA to Elko NV. The one stop you really want to make in the middle of nowhere. Great drinks selection, fine Scotch even. Good clean facilities, good food, good service. Wont find better in the Death Valley.”

“Had a really nice dinner with the family, the salmon was tasty and so were the spare ribs. The wedge salad was a bit simple and needs a bit more love and attention. The people complaining about the price have never eaten in Las Vegas or any other major city I guess....... Thanks for a wonderful evening at a unique location guys!”

“I have visited the Inn on multiple occasions to capture wedding photos! The major upside of staying here, regardless of the downsides, is just how close it is to the popular spots in the park. Other hotels are just not as close since everything outside of the park is far away. It's also a beautiful location with some good amenities. Just keep in mind that the park is still remote and this location can sometimes lose electricity. It's all a part of the fun!”

“Great place to stop for lunch after a morning hike. We ate at the bar, which I love to do when traveling. Food was excellent, staff was great (look for Matt Damon’s brother). Prices seemed reasonable ($16 for a burger, $9 for a premium draft - Pacific Coast IPA). Decor is well suited to the area.”

“I so enjoyed my first day lunch that i went two more times while visiting Death Valley. Service was fun, attentive and comfortable. Server sang along with the great western music. Tried the Mugilan Burger, Links sandwich and Hot Dog over the three meals. All very good. Not a golfer, however love the 19TH.”

“William at the 1849 Saloon is an absolute legend—part host, part historian, part Death Valley survival guide. Came for the milk, stayed for William’s top-tier hospitality. If the milk don’t lift your spirits, William definitely will. Honestly, they should rename it “William’s Saloon” at this point.”
