“We have been looking for a place that served tasty Acai Bowls…Our favorite Acai bowl places either, closed down, burned down or changed the way they made their Acai bowls…We found Liquid Bean Café on the internet and decided to give it a try…Well, we both had the Acai bowls but I added an Egg Salad Sandwich pressed in a Panini press to our order…The Acai Bowls were fresh and totally delicious!!!…I really liked the Egg Salad Sandwich and loved the way it was pressed and toasted in the Panini press…We highly recommend Liquid Bean Café if you are ever in the Del Mar area…We will definitely be back again!!!…Five Stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“i had a delightful experience at Kini Coffee. the baristas were incredibly sweet and welcoming when i walked up. the coffee was delicious as well as their almond croissant. the ambiance was great, nothing like coffee by the beach! its centrally located to downtown del mar and has plenty of parking. and the cute pink coffee lids were so cute too! i’m definitely coming back!“

“This place has the great yogurland flavors that you expect, but what stood out was the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. It was delicious and very affordable.

The place was clean and we could watch them make our smoothie.

“Delicious, light refreshing drinks that are not overly sweet like most places. Also the gal who was giving samples, who else rang me up, was kind and friendly with a positive attitude. “Best Juice in town. I usually go in a couple of times a week to get the V6. It has beets, apples, carrots, and celery. I usually add an orange to it also. Makes me feel energized and clean. They also have a pretty tasty Acai bowl with granola and peanut butter. Very accommodating if you have allergies. Has been in business almost 20 years with the same owner. You have to give them a shot. Every couple of weeks, I do the 3 day cleanse. If I'm feeling brave, I do the 6 day cleanse. My girlfriend likes the raspberry smoothie.

Vegetarian options: Clean juices with just veggies.

Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating if you have allergies or dietary restrictions.

This is my favorite boba place because the drinks are a good size, amazing taste, their boba tastes so fresh and never too sweet or chewy, and they always make my drinks consistently good. They have an easy rewards system and fast service. I love how they changed their closing time an hour later because it was the only thing I wish was different. But I have tried almost everything and I like it all! My favorites are the uji green milk tea, coco latte, camo thai, and strawberry tornado! I reccommend trying to add foam or oreo to ur drink to make it even better. So glad this place is also in SD.“

The staff at Yomie’s Rice Yogurt have consistently gone above and beyond in assuring my boyfriend and I have the best, top quality, and absolutely most delicious authentic Chinese delicacy of a drink out within a very short amount of time. I plan to have Yomie’s Rice Yogurt catered to all my future birthdays and events. The usual cashier/barista (east asian, usually permed brown hair, and glasses) is incredibly friendly and nice. He always makes our drinks super quick and they’re always filled to the top with our added toppings of choice! He also lets newer customers know about how certain drinks taste and give customers advice on sugar level and drink toppings. They also have an incredibly amazing mural on the wall of hyper realistic white wings— definitely a tourist spot! “SIZE MATTERS when it comes to breakfast sandwiches!! These breakfast sandwiches, burritos and bowls are great portion sizes and I appreciate that very much.
I’m a yoga teacher and fitness instructor in La Jolla and have a nice appetite, especially after classes or working out. I’m not vegan or vegetarian. On some days I teach 2 classes in the morning (other days I may teach 3 classes back to back) and I need a healthy and big breakfast to keep me fulled. I’ve had several breakfast sandwiches around the area and very few places compare to Java’s portions AND taste!
My body is also sensitive to additives, preservatives or junk ingredients and I break out if I have something that isn’t “clean”. I’ll know right away and I’ve never had a problem here. My body appreciates it!
Their smoothies are also one of my favorites!! The “Get your sculpt on smoothie” is not on the menu ( I think it was seasonal) but that was my staple for a long time. I still ask for it and they make it for me! It’s made with chaga mushrooms and I love the health benefits of that as well. They also have a warm chaga latte that I love when it gets chilly. My new favorite smoothie is the “Chunky Monkey” I add protein to it and it’s my new favorite!
I do go to other spots in the area but always come back to Java because, again, I haven’t found portion sizes, taste, healthy and friendly service, quite like them.
Their staff are always friendly, they have a lot of regulars and on slower times, they ask about you and remember when they see you next! I appreciate that as well. Connections and customer service is always important to me as it add that type of energy to the food and over all experience.

Given that the entire campus is new and forever improving and tastefully expanding is exciting! “Here is this my constructive review. I have been going to this smoothie shop since they opened their doors on MCAS. They are a welcome addition. The smoothies are not to unreasonably priced, and they offer good selection as well as a variety of mix ins that allow for even more possibilities. The service is usually pretty good with no complaints on my part, though I would ask for reward numbers more often if I were you. Here is the biggest downside I have found. Your working hours are really missing the mark. You operate on a marine corp base, but completely ignore the working hours of your biggest client. These marines are not able to straggle in at 0700 or 1600 to make it in time for a smoothie. They operate very early and leave even later sometimes. Many marines are at the gym at 0500 or even 0600 trying to get a good lift in. Those who like to post their workout will usually opt to work out after working hours between 1600 - 1800 is the next magic hour. What I crave after an intense workout is a protein packed, refreshing smoothie. But alas, one is never available when it is truly needed. I would seriously consider opening at 0600 and closing at 1800 to maximize your hitting all of your possible customers vs just those families or select few who can find time to make it. In addition to operating hours. Thus far I have found 4 separate occasions where you were either open almost 30mins after 0700 or closed 30 minutes before 1600. It's a really big let down to arrive at the posted time or reasonably before closing to try to snag a smoothie, just to find a locked door. If you fixed your operating hour issues in both time available and being on time for your availability that is posted, I believe you would be a 5 star business that would put Jamba juice to shame.“
