Pretty simple. If there isn't anyone at the front, off to the left wall from the entrance is the tablet to order.“

On a hot day, I 100% recommend their peppermint cooler – it's a slightly milky slushy with peppermint tea, and it is so so so delicious and refreshing.“

“This is My son and I favorite go to spot for boba drinks.. he always gets the oreo with oreo bits slush with mini boba . I either get the taro slush or Thai tea slush with also mini boba .. soo good .. I also get moms and pops the aloe Vera drinks .. the passion fruit and or kiwi one I think .. we sometimes get the popcorn chicken spicy 😋 very seasoned and always tender .. the churros can be a hit or miss at times..

Also when will you guys bring back the boba plushies!? Lol my son been saving his cards to grab one of those plushies“

I stopped by Wing Hop Fung to restock on loose leaf teas; it's generally best to buy around November - December because they offer discounts (usually 10% - 30%) for VIP members; this visit was 20% with a random 30% & 40% on select flavors. I typically purchase a half dozen, but this time I went double digits because my son wanted to try a couple.

I left a couple of bags over the summer while visiting my MIL, so I needed to restock. Judy was handling the counter & brewed samples of High Mountain Tie Guan Yin (aka goddess tea), which had a nice roasted & sweet tang. I also tried the Rose Black Tea, which had a fragrant floral taste.

I picked a few of my usual & tried a couple of new blossoming teas: Dancing Butterfly & Delightful Bouquet (my fav Peach Fairy is no longer stocked), & mostly green teas with an oolong & white tea. Most of my picks are in the mid-range, & usually purchase between 1/4 - 1/2 oz., with the occasional 1 lb. of my favorite of the day. My fav oolong, Phoenix Yellow Stone Oolong (天仙獻福工藝茶) wasn't in stock; I love the mellow & smooth taste with strong honey aroma. These tea trees in Guangdong have been there since the Song Dynasty & were once only reserved for royalty, so this tea is still rare due to its limited production. I'm not sure if this is also discontinued but I haven't seen it on my last 2 visits. ＼(｀0´)／

It was nice chatting Judy, giving me an opportunity to practice my Cantonese (廣州話), but customers kept interrupting my order so it took longer than necessary with just 1 person behind the counter, & the fact that I usually sample 1 - 2 teas & sniff the teas before buying. No tea comps from 阿姨 for this large purchase. If M wasn't with me, I might have asked to sample a couple more teas. ;-) There’s a stack of aged pu-erh teas that are almost a decade old, ranging from $99.99 - $2,399.99/lb. (top to bottom). Wowza!

I also stocked up some snacks & found a cute kitty mug for my niece; she's been newly inducted to drinking loose leaf teas so I'm sharing my load as part of her Christmas gift. I need to find her a clear teapot for the blossoming teas. I wanted to pick-up guilinggao (龟苓膏) & bird's nest (燕窩), but didn't see any & already overstayed because the l'il guy was getting impatient so I skipped it/didn't ask about them.

I'm sad that they're no longer in Chinatown; they currently only have 2 locations: Monterey Park & Arcadia (The Shops at Santa Anita). Still not a frequent patron but a loyal one, I always look forward to restocking my tea supplies here & practicing my Cantonese.

“WOW! What a wonderful experience! Five stars on every thing. Our party of four enjoyed a relaxing fun afternoon. The décor was fun and lake a fantasy, There was so much to look at including a secret door to the party room. We started off with each of us receiving our own pot of tea. I ordered the Black Carmel, I loved it which is saying a lot considering I am picky about my tea. The tea pots are a good size, I believe I filled my cup three times. Then for the food, first was the scone. Oh my goodness the scone... it was beyond delicious and a good size. Next was the salad with a wonderful dressing. And then came out the master piece, two multi tiered china serving trays filled with five or six different types of sandwiches and a large array of beautiful mini deserts. It was all so beautiful and delicious. There flowers and berries adding to the beauty of it. And so much food we all had some to take home. We had the owner Elena as our server she has done a fantastic job creating an experience that you should not miss. If you have never been here you are truly missing out. “My family and I frequent here quite often and every single time, the drinks were on point! Thai tea, Thai-chata, strawberry vortex, pineapple escape, milky way taro, polar pomegranate are just a few that I've tried and would recommend but everything including food is so good. Their customer service is also great! Always a pleasant experience for us. We've "cheated" and have gone to other boba places when traveling but it's not the same. Twisteas definitely has our loyalty!“

“Tastea is usually great! I tried the banana coffee today and it was mid. Not enough banana flavor but that's my personal preference.. also the barista was annoyed that I changed my order (I hadn't paid for my drinks yet at the register and she started making my original drink order which I changed within a minute of standing at the register, anyway she rolled her eyes and made my banana coffee) I still tipped 20% because maybe she was having a bad day haha we've all been there! “Authentic Taiwanese style tea place !

I really enjoyed my winter melon lemon tea with aiyu jelly. I customized it with half ice and half sugar, and it turned out perfectly balanced. The tea had a subtle hint of winter melon, which was nice.

The matcha latte with aiyu jelly and red bean was equally satisfying. Opted for 30% sugar, and it struck just the right level of sweetness.

Both drinks were refreshing and well-crafted.

Also ordered the Yifang egg pancakes. The texture was great—the inside was slightly bouncy while the outside had a nice firmness to it. A tasty and fun addition to the afternoon tea.“

“We were astonished at the beautiful display of food and how much was offered for the Christmas Brunch. Well worth the trip, and a great value for the price. It was held in a large ballroom, so it was a bit loud when it was full of people, so definitely didn't need the piano playing adding to the noise level. But it got quieter as the people finished and left. The staff took great care of us.“
