My husband and I went there tonight, for Valentine's Day.
We had the Steak/Salmon special.
This ribeye was the BEST steak I've had in my life. So tender and so tasty!!!
The salmon was wonderful, so delicious!
I totally recommend their food. Yes, their prices are high, but you're getting the best food possible.
And, really, on a special occasion, it's worth it to enjoy delicious food and great service!!

Dinner at Buena Mesa in Downey did not disappoint. Shrimp cocktail with a Pacifico on a hot day was what I was craving for. I ordered a side of rice & beans were delicious and my friend's Camarones Al Mojo de Ajo with Pacifico was incredible. Great service and the music was perfect. 10/10 will definitely return.

Buena Mesa Downey Mariscos and Steaks offers a wide range of food from steaks to seafood. The octopus taco and Horchata were absolutely delicious. The tomahawk steak with that sauce, mash potatoes, and roasted to perfection brussel sprouts were so so so good. The steak special for two was cooked to request, and the Paloma was enjoyed. The rib eye steaks are amazing, with melt in your mouth quality, and the seafood platter was refreshing and delicious. The lobster bisque had a corn chowders taste with huge chunks of lobster and was amazing. The fish and steak were cooked so perfectly that it melted in your mouth. The loaded lobster potatoes were lacking a bit of flavor, but the steak cooked medium well was D-licious, and the roasted brussel sprouts were the first thing to go. The blended red wine and the old fashioned were also excellent. Service was excellent, portions are more than enough, and there is plenty of seating. This place is a 10/10 recommend for a date night or a regular place.
