“On our most recent visit to Chico we had a chance to give Sofi’z Pakistani kitchen a try. Located right downtown, Sofi’z is a nicely decorated place with a cool vibe and excellent food. When we arrived we were greeted by the owner Sophia who not only told us about the menu but how the restaurant came to be.The menu covered the basics including butter chicken, channa , curries, paneer, tandoori and all the breads and sweets you would want.We ordered the channa curry, chicken biryani and butter chicken, paratha and naan for the three of us. While we waited we enjoyed a cup of chai masala that we sweetened to taste. The food itself was excellent. We really loved the Channa Curry and enjoyed both the Chicken Biryani and Butter Chicken. We finished our meal with Shahi Keer and Gujjar Ka Halwa- a carrot based sweet that was my personal favorite.Overall we really appreciated the quality of the food, the nice presentation and great service provided and highly recommend for folks that love Pakistani / Indian food or those looking for a new adventure right in the heart of Chico.“

“Owner was so nice and came up to tell us more about the restaurant and food. Authentic Brazilian flavors and nice ambiance .The coxinha is a must have appetizer. The Guarana soda is also a must try.We had the Paulistana (garlic chicken) and Vaca Atolada (beef short rib) which were both amazing & GF. Lots of vegitarian, vegan and GF options so there is something for everyone.“

“The 2 man, 1 woman (McBride?), were terrific. On the downside, the young boys in charge of tables were clueless. No eye contact, scowling faces, no bussing of the used dishes (they didn't even look). One would practically have to trip them to get their attention. The price of food is horrific but it's also really good. All in all, if there is entertainment or if you just wish to sit in the outside garden area and enjoy the surroundings, an interesting menu, good food, and beautiful building and surroundings...this is perfect.“

“The on tap beer selection is weak but they have tons of choices for canned beer as well. People tell me they really like the food. I had the sliders and they were pretty good. The scene is diverse in age, style, and background, which makes it a pretty awesome place to hang out. The live shows are usually good, but conversation ends when the music starts cause it's loud.Happy hour food is off the charts!“

“They are so nice they are usually family members. They're very laid-back and friendly and they have a good homemade clean brew which tends to be a little bit more in the Hoppy side even though I tend to go through my lager or Pilsner phases they still have a different range of flavors and I think that They're a great place and now they're doing music and I think they're doing great.“
“We absolutely love secret trail under normal circumstances but recently used their back room for our baby shower. Michelle was very easy to communicate with and accommodating. We were able to have our favorite bar tender and bring in whatever food worked for us. Everyone had a great time. Highly recommend.“

“I am really enjoying Has Beans . The staff is fantastic. The quality is great. Most of the customers are great, but I have to say a few men I've met there when I literally am not yet woken up with my dog need my coffee have like try to chat me up or flirted and it really bothers me because I found a new haven and now there's people I know who are there gave me the same crap they do at Farmers Market I don't want men to flirt with me in the morning please What's wrong with me I love the girls at Has Beans . I love the workers at Has Beans . I really don't even know how to stop the inappropriate attention I've gotten maybe they should know maybe they want to know but the specific person who really upset me I've decided I'm gonna go tell them if he does it again and he's regular. I'm gonna remove this review in a couple of days. I wouldn't mind some advice how to be in Chico KIDDING Coffee, without someone looking at your chest when you're wearing a tank top in 100° weather and you're over 60 I mean please for god sake.“

“Loved the food. It was a bit dark and the music was a bit loud for a Thursday night in a mostly empty bar, but once the DJ came in it was better. I didn't get a photo of our food but it's the best fish & chips I've had in the Chico area in the 10 months I've been looking for a fish & chips place. My husband had the naked pepper wings and loved them. Will be back again to try more foods and maybe dance next time :)“

“This place is PERFECT. One of the best music venues I've been to. Service was impeccable, and the self pour taps are awesome. Definitely a great selection of craft brews, sours and wine. What blew me away was watching the owners help the staff and have a presence. Very refreshing!Prices are quite reasonable given the world today. Didn't eat, but the pizZa I saw looked very good.Bravo Commons!! ??????“

“Neat little diner with great breakfast food. Son got the 1-2-3 (bacon, eggs and good sized pancake) and I got the Bidwell Egg (basically a bacon, egg and cheese bagel). Friendly service. Imagine gets a crowd later so glad we came early. Definitely worth a sit.“

“The best coffee shop in Chico. I always enjoy coming here and have been for several years now.- properly made, tasty espresso drinks- they roast their own beans- friendly, smiling staff (who look like they get along and enjoy working there)- great aesthetics, high ceilings, a variety of seating, which is good for socializing or more isolated studying spaces- good music! (underrated feature)- dog-friendly- fun variety of food, and beer on tap- easy parkingChico has several bad (not mediocre... bad) coffee shops, some of which don't check any of the above boxes, so I am glad Daycamp exists! I hope the owners can open up more locations.“

“Pictured are three cocktails, dusk till dawn, linen Park and areaposa (sp?). We all enjoyed the crafted blends. I had the dusk till dawn and loved the Jalapeño flavor. It was our first time here, we were a group of four couples and just had cocktails before our dinner reservation nearby. The decor and atmosphere of the bar was lovely. It started to fill up as we were leaving. Everything was clean and well kept. A light menu is printed, however the full menu is available via the small QR codes found throughout the tables and bar area. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because they were out of the first 3 beers our friend ordered. The staff was diligent however and found him something for his beer pallet.“

“New location in the parking lot of Spike's Bottle Shop(1270 East First Street at the intersection of Village Lane, caddy corner from In Motion Fitness). Hence the three stars for atmosphere. It is just a liquor store parking lot, but what food truck has nice atmosphere? None I have ever been to.Great food with reasonable prices.I like everything I have tried, which is most of the menu. My go-to is the chicken wrap. The gyro quesadilla is really good, too. It is listed as an appetizer, but it is a large and filling quesadilla. The burgers are also very good, but they have a Mediterranean flavor, so don't expect the typical taste of your standard American burger. The chicken sandwich is dark meat, which I prefer, but I think it is worth noting so people do not expect the standard white meat chicken patty. As far as I can tell, there is only one person who works there(the owner), and he makes everything fresh to order, so I recommend calling your order in ahead of time. It will take 15-20 minutes(or more if you order a lot and/or they are really busy) to be ready. I see this as a plus. Most food trucks have everything premade and simply assemble ingredients instead of making it for you when ordered. I have watched him meticulously plating food with great care. It is clear he takes a lot pride in his cuisine and cares for the customer's satisfaction immensely. The owner is always very polite and friendly and has a very warm and welcoming smile.Solid Five Star food truck, and some of the best food I have had in Chico.I have recommended it to every one I work with. Several people have tried it and they all love it.Don't miss out on this gem of a food truck!Parking: Plenty of parking in the lot they are in.Wheelchair accessibility: It is in a parking lot, so it is very wheelchair accessible.“

“What an awesome little place! Went here for a brunch. Absolutely delicious sandwich. I got the smokin’ berry bird. A little sweet and a tiny bit spicy, and totally delicious. Chico chai is also a great choice for an iced beverage!Sat outside in the walled in patio.“
“Sitting here tonight, I realized that I've never reviewed this place. It's my favorite taphouse ANYWHERE. Reasons.... variety. Always changing, and the knowledge of the staff amazes me. They can talked about the breweries and what they offer, with an uncanny knowledge of what would work for YOU.Reason two. Pleasant staff that remembers who you are and what you drink/like. We live 60 miles away, and only can drop in six to eight times a year, and the staff is so kind.Atmosphere. This is not a Chico frat bar. The clientele is working and professional class, nicer stidents, with just the right amount of bright and happy conversation in the background. It's a place to ENJOY an drink and not get smashed.“

“I love el centenario. We have been frequenting this truck weekly for 3 years now and have no complaints. Fast, friendly service, great food at great prices, and right next to campus. Our favorite items on the menu are the chicken burritos, the chicken nachos, and the grilled shrimp street tacos.“
