Good service, fun patrons, strong/affordable drinks, and a long bar with plenty of seats. They even have a deejay on some nights. “My friends and I rented out the private room for a joint birthday party, and it was awesome! The service was great, the room was all ready for us when we arrived and we just bought a couple of beer pitchers so people didn't have to keep going to downstairs for drinks. We had a great time, we will definitely be back!“

“Anne is the sweetest! It's a nice quiet bar and everyone is super friendly. There's a pool table too. Its chill bar to go to for a quick drink and to watch the game in peace. Definitely recommended for those who want to relax after a long day and not have to worry about the overly drunk people.“
“The Avenue is the all year round Halloween decor dive bar located in Oakland in the Temescal area off of Telegraph. Located in the area where a lot of restaurants are, we tend to come here while waiting to be seated for ramen or after getting some Cuban sandwiches. Watch out where you park here because it's bip central. But The Avenue has a full bar with cheap drinks, brews, and everything. They have a pool table, tons of seating areas, and other activities and I think you can watch games here. Service is great and a vibe inside.“

“A cool little local spot that has been around for almost 100 years. Hang with the locals and hear some good stories. Bring your quarters for the pool table. They have wine and beer. Your choice. Plenty of parking. Not a busy place, sometimes they close early, depends on the crowd. Good place for a dinner time drink.“
“I'm back 7+ years later to update my review... I like Wolfhound! It was the perfect place to spend a chill St. Paddy's day with friends. We happened to be staying in an Airbnb in the area and it was so great to take a 5 month stroll to get a drink out of the house. Music was great. Drink options were awesome. And dogs are allowed, which is important to me as a dog owner. My friends and I laughed at my old review because so much has changed since then (with me lol). Mainly I've gotten older and have so much more respect for chill bars like wolfhound. The decor is great and the added freebies from Jameson were a welcome surprise. This bar is truly up my alley now. I will be back whenever I'm in the area.“

“The service was good. The bartender was nice and he be pouring up like it's no tomorrow, lol ....I felt like I was at cheers but nobody knew my name. I went there for poetry night. It was a lil nice hole in the wall and I would go back but the police was pulling everybody over as they left so idk if thats how they get down in Vallejo or if they really call they self "cracking down" idk but I really enjoyed the poetry. Queen Nubian was performing there and she's really good, definitely enjoyed her and the other artists as well.“
