“This is a great old school bar which we absolutely plan to visit again. Popped in for a couple of (tasty) Bloody Marys and we were not disappointed. Had we known that posole and taquitos were going to show up we wouldn't have stuffed ourselves at The Stagecoach first! Great service and can't beat the drink prices.“

Chambers Room Bar • $
701 J St #2501, Sacramento

“My man wanted to get a drink around noon and we were downtown. The usual bars dont open until 4pm. My guy said he heard of a place that was open now and has cheap good drinks. So I said why not. When we got to the door I knew what time it was (dive bar). It's not pretty. But I felt comfortable. It was a mix of people old and young. The bar is old but if those walls could talk. The stories it would tell. The man behind the counter was nice and promptly served us. We asked for Mai Tai's. He was honest and said he couldn't remember how to make it. It's been years lol. We made it easy for him and got 4 Old fashions (2 each). They were good and strong. Not watered down and got the job done. And the best part. Only $16. That's unheard of now days. Good place to pregame before a event or if you want a quick cheap drink without all the pomp and circumstances this place is cool.“

Swiss Buda Cocktail Bar • $
2342 Fruitridge Rd, Sacramento

“I casually began going into Buda in 2018 or so, and I am so glad that I did. Acquaintances have turned into friends, and many of those friends have turned into family. This place has it ALL - strong drinks, yummy food, the BEST bartenders, friendly customers, a TON of tv's for any and all sporting events, karaoke on Fridays, trivia on Tuesdays...I could go on and on. The owner, Bull, is an absolute sweetheart who will come in and make sure everyone is doing well and having a good time. The bartenders always make sure your drinks are full, and E, the cook, will hook you up with some of the best BBQ in town(try his tri-tip & mac and cheese!). Note: If you're a Sacramento Kings fan, stop in to watch a game on one of their big screens, and if they win, Buda has their own BEAM to light up - mic drop!“

SERIOUSLY.They sometimes have food and always have little bowls of pretzels or something out. The music box is a great one and the sound system is ample . All in all, a great place to chill and drink without going broke. You will love it.“

Elixir Bar & Grill Bar • $
1815 10th St, Sacramento

“This place hasn’t changed much since 2016, and I really appreciate that. Great prices, really good bar food, friendly unpretentious employees, and solid music blasting. Where one can either start or end the night, if that makes sense.I thought it was really funny this most recent time at this spot, we overheard some guy who came straight from Ace hitting on the bartender, saying how he used to come here years ago and asked if she knew so and so (name drop). She did not. Don’t hit on your bartender.“

“If you are looking for a neighborhood bar, minus a look when you walk in from all the "locals" which is typically, unwelcoming (personal experience from other local jaunts), then Tallac is your reprieve. The staff is friendly, as well as the regular patrons. Great drinks, clean, friendly staff and patrons...what more could you want or need. Enjoy.“

Flame Club Bar • $
2130 16th St, Sacramento

“Where do I actually begin! I will start with the good!!! The drink prices are just phenomenal. I believe this is the last standing hole in the wall with the cheapest strongest drinks on the planet. If you are brave enough to get a double shot that should be your last shot! Because baaaaby it will definitely put you on your a**! In a good way. The next best thing - the people! There will be some many conversations you never know where to jump in. There is always a story with very little to no drama. I swear it's like Cheers on the TV show - where everybody knows your name. The Bartender's! Kudos to them because they stay busy! And they always remember what you like to drink! They pour heavy drinks so be prepared. Lastly, pack a chair in the truck. If it's crowded, you won't find a seat anywhere. Besides the fun is always outside!“

Interlude Cocktail Lounge Bar • $
2926 Eastern Ave, Sacramento

“I'm giving a 5 star review because all the bartenders. Anna,Tom and Kelly are always awesome. Rodney on the other hand was incredibly disrespectful. Even after buying him a shot he not only threw my drink away but continued to talk over me when I was trying to keep things cool. I normally tip minimum 20% but his attitude was not okay. And I think he acted out extra because of the tip which is extra wwrong. We have always been cool so unsure of the miscommunication but professionally speaking that's unacceptable.“

“I went to hilltop tavern to play pool and I was pleasantly surprised that not only do they have a good pool table but also a dart board, shuffle board and pingpong table! This bar is so fun and really nicely decorated. I imagine it might get pretty crowded some nights though because it's not super big. I also ordered a margarita and it was one of the best I've had! They made it packed full of lime flavor with a good rim of salt. 5/5 bar!“

“Came here after a white party. .Had some good drinks here and surprisingly it's better than the over price drinks at the fancy place near by. .I got a Hendricks gin and tonic, cost me 8 bucks. My friend got a Malibu sunset for 6 bucks. We loved our drinks. The price point is affordable too. .The ambiance was chill. It wasn't crowded and we enjoy the vibe. We felt great, had a good time and left. They take credit card too which is a plus..Overall come here for some good strong drinks before going to a fancy place. They have a full bar here so you can enjoy all your drinks. Hope this review help, thanks for reading and have a yelptastic day!“

The Press Club Cocktail Bar • $

“Came here for Emo Night. At first (8p) there was maybe 25 people. At about 1030, there was probably 100. It was a blast! I've been to other emo nights and this one was fun even tho there wasn't a live band this time. Drinks weren't as bad as other reviews say. Customer service was cool. There were 2 really clean single person bathrooms. There's a liquor store maybe 200 ft if u need anything. There were lasers, fog, and passionate people. Music was loud. My heart rate was high. But even more, my emo thirst was quenched.“

“I just spent a few hours at The Long Shot today, and found it to be a terrific "Dive Bar" in Arden across from Whole Foods. The bartender was very attentive, as well as handsome, the drinks were well poured, and the customers were fun and talkative. Just what you're looking for at a bar. I highly recommend the bar. Next time, I'll try it at night, but I doubt it will be any more fun. PJ ( A happy Customer)“

Brownie's Lounge Cocktail Bar • $
5858 S Land Park Dr, Sacramento

“Brownies Irish PubWell whaddaya know Brownies has gotten janky! They've recently had a refreshing facelift, which brings in a breath of fresh air by opening up to the outside via a modern roll top garage door with frosted glass panes. Theyve maintain the integrity of their high back horseshoe booths, which have been refurbed with tufted realistic pleather. And they now have natural wood pub tables tastefully situated between the booth in the bar. Oh yes and that really long dark bar, which will always be the centerpiece of Brownie's lounge, no longer has a weird sticky waxy feel to it it does if the whole thing has been stripped and refinished... bellisimo! They have a small bites menu available during happy hour with your regular pub food. You know fries, chicken strips, Cesar salad, etc. Brownie's is nestled in the South Hills shopping center on Land Park Drive between Las Flórez bar and grill and the SF Supermarket. There are plenty of free parking spaces available which is a bonus and you can play music on the juke box and sing karaoke. At least that's what I observed when I was there. They also have at least 1 pool table.“
