“I was hungry and ordered three things (dinner for 2, salmon nigiri, dragon roll). Waitress said I may not want to order so much because the portions were large. I thought it would be like other asian.places - small portions, so I kept my order the same. Yikes! She was right. Soooo much food! Everything was hot, fresh and exceptionally tastey. Steamed rice was served in a thermal serving container to keep it hot. I couldn't finish - had to take most of the food home. Great place! I highly recommend!“

“This quiet but homey sushi spot needs more attraction. The food quality is superb in all of Modesto, the swiftness of staff to serve is amazing, and the environment is quiet while you enjoy a delicious meal. Having tried Okinawa sushi and steakhouse this one takes the cake. As I hold that place dear, I will be coming more often to Umi as their deliverance is a 10/10.

“First couple times were good then I had a bad plate and they made up for it by getting me another one but everytime I ask for steamed veggies ita 50/50 I’ll get it not steamed and raw or not properly steamed at all- who likes eating raw broccoli or raw cabbage? ? Cmon management“

“Went for lunch here today with my boyfriend. We went for the Chinese side of the cuisine and ended up both getting japanese food. He got tonkotsu and chicken teriyaki lunch plate and I got yaki udon. I really love udon so it was nice seeing it on the menu, the udon was super good and I felt the portion sizes for me was perfect. My boyfriend did feel like he could have had a little bigger portion sizes, but also cant complain because the price was not bad at all for what we got. I also tried his food and thought it was very good. We definitely would love to come back again.“

“Dnes jsme opět po půl roce navštívili Fumi Sushi 🍣 a rád musím říci, že je to výborný podnik. U vchodu vás přivítá milá a ochotná obsluha. Prostředí je velice příjemné a čisté. Pokrmy jsou čerstvé, chutné a lahodí nejenom oku, ale je to naprostý degustační zážitek. Všem doporučuji a my se opět těšíme👌😉🏣“

“Absolutely love coming here when my husband and I can. We used to go fairly often when they were located in Oakdale and were surprised when we came to visit in Escalon after almost 2 years and the server remembered us. Delicious food, great staff. I usually get the tekka maki or spicy tuna roll and my husband gets the sashimi, as well as a bottle of the cloudy sake. Bonus, he's allergic to shellfish and has never had a reaction there from cross contamination.“
