“We traveled from our home out of town to try this restaurant for the first time as we often dine at hulas next door. We weren’t disappointed! We were greeted when we entered . It was a Sunday around 11:00 am and the small dining area was occupied so we chose to sit at the counter. Service was quick and the coffee was hot and well brewed. We had the blueberry waffle platter, apple cinnamon waffle with a half side of biscuits and Gravie. . A whole order is 4 large biscuits. Everything was plated exceptionally well and delicious! The waffle batter must be a special recipe because I’ve never tasted one as good as those we ate today when we order them in other restaurants! All the servers were friendly, attentive and we were acknowledged when we left also. We have definitely found our new diner even though we live out of town 40 minutes away!“

The ingredients are incredibly fresh, and the quality of the food is on par with some of the best spots I’ve visited in the city. What really sets this place apart, though, is the people. Chef Jay is an absolute gem—friendly, passionate, and genuinely enjoyable to talk with. We had some great conversations, and his positive energy shines through in both his hospitality and his food. “This place is fun. The food was great and the atmosphere fun but the staff was a bit off. We ordered extra ranch and paid for it, but they only had part of the order. They said they'd bring it out, once it was prepared but we had to ask multiple times to get it. Our pizza was gone by the time it was ready and we had to go get it.. If the place had been busy, I would have understood but it was a very slow night.“

“My husband and I relocated from the Bay Area to this area a few years ago. Recently, we visited Sizzler in Modesto for the first time. We thoroughly enjoyed the salad bar. The food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. Thank you, Deanna, for your exceptional customer service.“

“Walked in and was greeted right away by Carmen. Server was very nice and helpful. I forge his name. But taller gentleman. But it felt so nice and welcoming. Carmen came by a few times and checked on us. Talked to my wife and kids. Made us feel like locals. Highly recommend a visit to Oakdale huckleberry’s. The food was amazing too.“

“I've never had shabushabu before and it was amazing! So many choices of everything! It's buffet and ridiculously delicious. So much food and so healthy too. Good idea to go for lunch because it's cheaper than dinner. And they were so kind to let me and my friend sit as long as we wanted. The service was wonder. I will definitely be back!“

“It's over priced. It's difficult to enjoy a meal when it's overpriced. I've had better service than today's experience. $17 for a basic bacon, turkey and ham club with minimal portions is disappointing. $5.99 for a side salad, $3.99 for an Iced tea $29 for lunch, isn't worth going back for. Then additional tip expense. Multiply that by 2, over $60 for coffee shop food, no justification in my opinion.“

We had Pad See ew, pumpkin curry, chicken satay, papaya salad, sticky rice and of course a thai tea. Good size portions and reasonably priced. “A little dark inside. So with my eyes it was kind of hard to read the menu. But I guess that's more my problem LOL! We were seated quickly on a Sunday for lunch time. Servers were attentive and kind and kept checking on us to see if we needed refills or anything else. The food was delicious. Fish tasted fresh. We got sushi and some appetizers and some udon noodles. Everything came out great. I guess my only complaint would be, when we were done. We kind of felt rushed to get out of there. They kept just hanging around our table, taking things and just standing there staring at us. Almost felt like they were pushing us to leave. We weren't there that long after we had finished so it just felt weird. But, then again it wasn't a packed restaurant so maybe they just didn't have much to do and really just wanted to clean our tables. When we left. It wasn't for that. I'd give it five stars. I just don't like to feel rushed at all when I pay for a meal this pricey.“

“Hole-in-the-wall dive serves the best fish I’ve ever had. It’s the kind of fish where you think “I’m full, I should stop,” but the texture and taste are so perfect that you have to finish it. Fried oysters are okay. If fries are vital to you, dine in: they don’t use the kind that stay crisp on the drive home. Service is plenty fine for what it is: they are cranking out big orders at high speed.“

They have a rotation of many flavors, with 5 on tap each day, and you can get a flight. The place is simple and inviting, even though you're in a parking lot. Food is by food truck and varies day to day.“

“Oh, my goodness! Look at this beautiful dish! Never a disappointment at Grand Asia! The food quality is always superb. Presentation is flawless. Flavor is out of this world. The best Chinese food to be found in Riverbank. We drive from Oakdale! I like how each dish has a unique sauce too. Everything has its own flavor profile. They have good curried vegetables too! We always bring guests here and they always say the food is better than it has any right to be for us living in such a small town. It's like going to a fine dinning restaurant in Las Vegas, Manhattan, or Chicago.“

“I recently visited Ramen 101 and ordered the Mini Meal for $10.99. It comes with one scoop of steamed rice, one scoop of macaroni salad, and vegetables. There are no substitutions allowed for the mini meals, but you do get to choose your protein. The options include barbecue chicken, chicken katsu, teriyaki chicken, barbecue beef, fried shrimp (5 pieces), or island white fish.
I chose the island white fish and really enjoyed it. The portion size was good for the price, and everything tasted fresh. Overall, it was a nice, simple meal and a good option if you’re looking for something filling but not too heavy.“

It was very quiet not busy when we arrived. One couple in the restaurant. After being there for about 45 minutes, several other couples came in. It was a quiet Sunday lunch. I ordered the special the Salmon and my husband had the Gyros plate with lamb and beef. Everything was good. The special with Salmon. The clam chowder was yummy. Made fresh that morning. The hummus plate wasn’t on the menu, but we ordered it as an appetizer and it was delicious with plenty of hummus for two people.“

Ordered from a nice young lady, I'm assuming it's a family business. Family business is always the best start for good food. Grabbed some carne asada tacos. Reached under the foil to sneak a piece of asad. Knew I was in for something fantastic. After finishing the first taco, I could confirm that the tender, perfectly seasoned sneak peak I had of the asada was absolutely accurate through the meal. Everything tasted and looked fresh and delicious. The price was also right. I did wind up spending $22 on myself, but I got 5 tacos and this horchata is massive lol. So happy I tried this place. My wife and I will absolutely be back! Unfortunately, she had just eaten. So she was only along for the ride lol.“
