“Absolutely love coming here when my husband and I can. We used to go fairly often when they were located in Oakdale and were surprised when we came to visit in Escalon after almost 2 years and the server remembered us. Delicious food, great staff. I usually get the tekka maki or spicy tuna roll and my husband gets the sashimi, as well as a bottle of the cloudy sake. Bonus, he's allergic to shellfish and has never had a reaction there from cross contamination.“

“I have made portuguese sweetbread for many years, due to my age,I purchased two loaves of sweetbread for New Years to have with portuguese pickled pork. The sweetbread was heavenly and will return for sweetbread regularly. Definitely would recommend to anyone desiring authentic delicious sweetbread. Betty Alcorn“

“This place is fun. The food was great and the atmosphere fun but the staff was a bit off. We ordered extra ranch and paid for it, but they only had part of the order. They said they'd bring it out, once it was prepared but we had to ask multiple times to get it. Our pizza was gone by the time it was ready and we had to go get it.. If the place had been busy, I would have understood but it was a very slow night.“

“The previous owner of Happy's in Ripon have moved location to Salida. I was disappointed that they closed down, but I'm even grateful that their new restaurant is closer to me. I dine in for their lunch buffet. They give you the option of garlic or plain naan that is complimentary with the buffet; along with their basmati rice. Their buffet is smaller when it comes to their food options. Every dish is flavorful with the seasoning and spices. The tandoori chicken is by far, the best tandoori chicken I've had from an Indian restaurant. The spices and seasoning is super flavorful. The fish pakora is delicious. Crispy batter with the flavorful spices/seasoning. The chicken and goat curry did not disappoint either. I couldn't help myself, but eat several plates of the curry. The butter chicken, Shahi Paneer, and the other dishes are delicious. I've sampled all the dishes along with the dessert. The Gulab Jamon and rice pudding is delicious. I really like the rice pudding. I can taste their rice pudding is made with basmati rice. The texture of the basmati rice grain 🌾 is much thinner than the regular rice. Their chai tea ☕ is refreshing as well. The waiters do a wonderful job of refilling my water when it gets low. Thank you very much for a delicious meal. See you again soon.“

I've had better service than today's experience. $17 for a basic bacon, turkey and ham club with minimal portions is disappointing. $5.99 for a side salad, $3.99 for an Iced tea $29 for lunch, isn't worth going back for. Then additional tip expense. Multiply that by 2, over $60 for coffee shop food, no justification in my opinion.“

I knew the moment I saw the pho broth I made the right choice! The bok choy chicken and kung pao chicken were big hits with my family who opted not to get the pho.“

Up until now the best Italian food I’ve ever had was when visited our daughter in San Diego and we always go to Buono Forcheta in the South Park area. Gusto is as good as they are. The depth of flavor in the bolognese sauce is amazing. The lasagna is also amazing. The other nice thing is that the kitchen is out in the open behind the bar area and you can watch the chef work his magic if you want to sit at the bar.“

The torta was good, the meat was delicious and was the star of the show. The bread left something to be desired. Overall an average torta.

“Tapped Apple never disappoints. The customer service is amazing. Everyone is so friendly. It’s the type of bar you go to and there is never ever any drama. People are friendly. The staff is attentive, remembers your name, and what you like. The owner is super chill and takes time to get to know you. The environment is really good too. There is indoor and outdoor seating. During the winter months they have heat lamps outside so you stay warm.“
