“We had a wonderful dinner at The Altamont last night. Everything was fresh and we finally had a meal that was worth paying for. Steak sandwich, Ruben (specials they were offering), pork sandwich and a kids cheese burger. We also shared a side of fries. We will definitely make the trip back out again soon to enjoy more of their offerings. Also the building is beautiful! Bonus that it is kid friendly!“

“Do not pass this place up if you drive through the area! The owner brought us a sample of her salmon chowder while we waited for our food. The chowder is absolutely AMAZING! She shared awesome conversation of how she came about her salmon chowder. Great, family style atmosphere! We can't wait to return!“

“This place is fantastic!! The owner Greg went above and beyond with a birthday delivery breakfast surprise for us. We had breakfast burrito with bacon and added avocado. The ingredients were so fresh and grown locally. Also had some of the best biscuits and sausage gravy ever!! We tried several scones. AMAZING. He told us the farm where the blackberries came from that were in the scones. We got banana nut and blueberry muffins as well. Everything was fresh and yummy!!!We actually went back 2 days later for more!!What a great place highly recommended!!Greg is a top notch class act!!!“
“Soft Butternut Squash Polenta topped with garlic & roasted trumpet mushrooms was divine. Highly recommended! Modest portion but all the more reason to savor. Also, the cup of seasonal vegetable soup was perfect, flavorful and comfortable. Yum!“

“I went to Acorn Cafe expecting a nice, responsible lunch. I left in a food coma, questioning every healthy choice I’ve ever made, and honestly? Zero regrets.
The place has serious range — breakfast, brunch, lunch, indoor seating, outdoor seating with an actual fireplace (fancy), and a friendly & professional staff.
I ordered the fried chicken sandwich against my better judgment — I usually treat deep-fried anything like a suspicious email attachment — and it was a full personality shift. Absolutely delicious. It came with homemade togarashi potato chips, which is not a combination I asked for but is one I will now demand for the rest of my life.
My dining companion got the breakfast burger, which somehow contains an egg AND hash browns INSIDE the burger, like the chef looked at breakfast and lunch and said “why not both, simultaneously, in your hand.” Perfection. Structurally impressive. Emotionally overwhelming.
The turkey clubhouse club also showed up and showed out — and bonus, some proceeds go to the local Boys & Girls Club, so you can feel slightly virtuous while inhaling bacon.
Verdict: We’re going back. We have breakfast entrees left to conquer, and frankly, I think Acorn Cafe has earned the right to ruin more of my meals.“

“BY FAR THE BESSSSST! I’ve gone to other places before and they are good but this place the first thing I was impressed by is how clean and cozy it looks and felt. Then we were welcomed by the nicest smile a sweet lady! she was so kind as she welcomed us. We then sat down on the couches and she even brought us our sandwiches which we took to go! I’m surprised she wasn’t more busy this places definitely needs more attention. 🤍 Can’t wait to come again!!!!“

“I am bilingual and was so nice to find a place where they speak Spanish and also English, make the environment so comfy! The food is so WONDERFUL, Latina community never disappoint ❤ I am Argentina but Mexican food is always AWESOME! I love it the CHEESE BAGEL with chorizo uff, 10/10 You need to try it :) My husband comes over once a year to CA and he loves this place, the burrito is amazing ❤❤❤“

“My wife had a roasted eggplant and goat cheese with pesto sandwich. I had the open face smoked salmon sandwich. Both were absolutely amazing. I wouldn’t normally get so excited about a sandwich, but these were exceptional in their taste and presentation—plenty of fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers that seemed to come straight out of a garden. The location is super cute with a great vibe. The service was adequate, though not exceptional.“

“I love the NZ pies and sausage rolls here but the prices are a bit exorbitant for what is essentially gas station/convenience food back home (Aus or NZ)
Current prices back home, even with all the inflation we've had:
BP pie: NZ$6.70 → US$3.83
BP fancy pie: NZ$8.50 → US$4.86
BP sausage roll: NZ$4.80–5.00 → US$2.74–2.86
A sausage roll or meat pie really should be priced around the cost of a McDonald's cheeseburger - as that is what it is competing with back home in Australia/NZ. Or maybe the price of a 7-11 hotdog.
Every time I drop by to pick up a couple things from Burtonz I find myself doing the mental math of just doing a round trip back to NZ instead 🤣🤣🤣“
“This is a wonderful quiet place to grab coffee, a cold drink (The fresh mint lemonade is divine) A pastry or a light meal. The staff is always friendly and obliging, and the atmosphere is Quiet and soothing. I wish they were open a little later than 4 PM, I’m I keep hoping for more foot traffic so they would have a reason to be open later“

“As a parent with a 20 month old this place is perfect! Everyone wins. On a Sunday, toddler gets a bite, mom gets a fun latte, dad gets a beer and parents split a great meal in the shade while our daughter plays. Reasonable prices. It feels too easy. We'll be back!“
“This café turned out to be a great find. The ambiance is simple but stylish, and it feels very comfortable even during busy hours. It’s a good spot for both quick visits and longer stays.
The menu has a solid selection, and everything I tried was tasty and well-prepared. The coffee stood out in particular — rich, aromatic, and served at the perfect temperature.
Service was quick and efficient, which made the visit even more enjoyable. The staff seemed attentive without being intrusive.
Overall, it’s a reliable place with good quality food and a pleasant atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out.“

“This place is outstanding! I had the Mexican mocha. It was so creamy and delicious. I’m literally asking myself why I go to SBUX. I had the big breakfast burrito. Was enough for me and my daughter. I love that they grill the burrito. Reminds me of home. (Texas) We had black iced coffee. Very good flavor. Hot chocolate was so good too. My husband had the 2 sunny side up eggs on sourdough. We love coming to Guerneville on the weekends to kayak. And now we have an excellent coffee and breakfast stop! Thank you ladies, for a wonderful experience. Will see you again, real soon.“
