“Stayed 3 nights over Thanksgiving weekend 2025, don’t leave many reviews but the experience was a 10/10. Didn’t know what to expect as a new customer- we have stayed in almost every hotel from Albion up the coast and would recommend this particular gem at this point in time over the rest. Scott who was in charge not only did a great job running the place but made us some cocktails that were the best I have had in 2025. Irish coffee, gin and tonic, several other martinis, espresso martinis, just all of the above were killer. The bar is a gem I love the wood and feel of it but sitting on the back patio, front patio, cannot go wrong with the feel of the place and the vibe. I am itching to go back, we had such a great experience. Staff was great, they did a killer job!“

“Best fish & chips I've ever had, hands down. The fish was FRESH and falling apart in my hands, and being battered & fried didn't hide the taste at all like it sometimes can. It came with tartar sauce and malt vinegar, and thick fries like steak fries. Our group was starving after our Skunk Train outing and this really hit the spot. Loved the outdoor seating (the smells of the fire pit & ocean together brought back happy beach camping memories) and several little kids in our seating area were thrilled & delighted by the pushy seagulls begging for scraps, which was fun to watch. Five happy stars from me. :)“

“La Palapa is a wonderful spot for fresh, flavorful Mexican cuisine with excellent service. I tried the fresh ceviche cooked in lime juice, and it was absolutely delicious—the fish was incredibly fresh, and the produce was crisp and vibrant, making every bite refreshing and perfectly balanced.

One detail I really appreciated was the variety of hot sauces available at the tables, allowing guests to customize the heat and flavors to their liking. The guest service is outstanding; the staff takes the time to explain the menu thoroughly and makes great recommendations.

They also offer a special menu with a wide variety of options, including excellent vegetarian choices, and gluten free which is a huge plus. Overall, La Palapa delivers great food, welcoming service, and a thoughtful dining experience. I highly recommend it and look forward to coming back. 🌶️✨“

“Tall Guy Brewing is hands down the most enjoyable sit down/lounging family friendly brewery in All of California(not an understatement). The music, kindness of the bartenders and relaxed environment formulates the absolutely perfect evening place for my son and I to sit down, have dinner, listen to music and make new friends. I would love to see such a magical place expand in any way possible. The world needs more of this.“

“I go to A-Frame all the time. They are ALWAYS amazing, but today a little extra so. I had ordered my usual 8$ coffee and driven all the way home when as I was getting out of my car my dog knocked my coffee out of my hand. 😢 I went back to buy another one, and they gave it to me for free! They are absolutely awesome with customer service, and their coffee is literally the best in town. 12/10 business all around. Will 100% always go them for coffee!“

“KUDOS to the staff of La Playa!!! Not only was the food DELICIOUS but the staff so very friendly. We had a large group of 40 with most being youth. The staff were so patient with our group and bottom line were just amazing. I have experienced our group with larger restaurants and La Playa blew them out of the water - the food and service top notch! When my family come to the area La Playa will be a stop for sure, and should we bring our youth group back this will for sure be on the agenda! “Loved the Tom Kha Gai chicken coconut soup. From the low price I expected a cup or small bowl but instead was served a large Bistro bowl with at least a pint of wonderful soup. Thr dinner special tonight was ribeye steak dinner $27. The Pad Thai was delicious and a large portion. I'll be going back again real soon.“

The sashimi and sushi were very fresh and beautifully presented. I loved that that there was good variety of fish. We will definitely come back.“
