It’s one of our favorite date night spots in town. We can always look forward to not only amazing food and drinks, but we always leave happy, from having the best conversations with other guests, and staff. Hands down, the best Old Fashioned ever! They make their own syrup and I love it with Buffalo Trace. It’s delicious. Oftentimes we eat off of the appetizer menu, because they are the perfect portions to share or have alone. Favorites: steak bites, pork belly, mozzarella moon pies, brussels sprouts, onion rings, patty melt, homemade chips, Old Fashioned, sweet potato fries, huge salad, pastrami sandwich and my husband’s favorite beer, Pliny the Elder. “The Xinantecatl Restaurant arose on our horizon after a week of backpacking in the Sierras. I'm sure it wasn't only the contrast with rehydrated camping food while slapping hummingbird-sized mosquitoes. But this place is the real deal! Each person in our five person party descended into reverential silence while enjoying fajitas, salad with steak, camarones a la veracruzana (spicy and savory) and camarones a la diablo (SPICY and savory). Meals were served with hot corn tortillas following complimentary excellent thick cut tortilla chips and both red and tomatillo salsas, both tangy and yummy. The man who greeted us was also the chef and waiter, a charming guy on top of talented and efficient cook and cultural translator (ask him what the restaurant name means!).  Complimentary ice creams were his final gift as we departed home to the showers he never let on knowing that we needed.  I'll be back for sure whenever I'm in town!“

“waited over an hour for our food - all we ordered were nachos, chicken tenders, fries and a sandwich. there were literally 2 other tables besides us and they already had their food. server wasn't even apologetic or anything. finally had to get my nachos to go : menu said beef nachos. more like canned chili nacho with little to no "beef". not worth $13 by a long shot. never going back. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!“

“It was my first time here. I seen it on TikTok and I wanted to try them out. Just a disclaimer that they only take cash and they are incredibly busy but the food and service was great! It’s a small restaurant but it’s mighty in its own way. They’re affordable and the portions are generous. I think two maybe three ppl can share off one plate of chow mein. I actually ordered a beef noodle soup. I was craving a nice, hot, hearty soup and it didn’t disappoint. I’m coming back again to try more of their dishes.“

“It’s been a long time since I found a brewpub this good. The beer is diverse and distinctive, the kind of stuff that wins awards. The food is great. The staff is great. The neighborhood is great (and this is probably the first time i’ve ever paid Fresno a sincere compliment). This place goes on my map of great California brewpubs. Also, dogs welcome on the patio.

“My girlfriend and I were traveling and stayed here for the night after a long drive. We were tired, so instead of ordering out we decided to grab food at the bar. She had the house salad—fresh and delicious—but I have to talk about the California Burger. This burger was incredible… so flavorful and satisfying! Easily one of the best choices we could’ve made after a 12+ hour drive.

There are cooks and there are cooks who understand how to cook food. I went to lunch with my brother . As we walked inside I noticed it was really nice inside there was a beautiful full bar and wine case and I knew that this was going to be a treat. We both were craving a burger , simple right ? Like I said there are cooks and cooks who understand food. Forget about all the chains and smash burger trendy spots around town , if you want a fantastic burger this is the spot ! This is an Italian restaurant so if you are looking for something like pizza , pasta or a maybe a 20 oz bone in ribeye steak if you are really hungry this spot has got you covered. The service is great and welcoming !
I'm a Fresno native and I've been to many places in California, Oregon, Washington and Texas , for the price , service , atmosphere , the quality of the food and passion that goes into the food the Cosmopolitan is my top restaurant over all .
I can't wait to see what the new menu looks like but I want that 20 oz ribeye paired with a bottle of red 🍷 .

“My husband and I stopped here Saturday night (about 11:30pm) and were super hungry. David the server was so friendly and greeted us with a big smile. We could tell he was busy so we waited patiently. He came over and took our drink order. About 5-10 mins after that he came to our table to tell us that it was time for the cook (Chuy) to go home and the new one still hadn’t shown up yet. “I don’t have a cook to cook your food, I’m so sorry”. We could tell that he felt terrible as he was telling us but when he saw our faces he quickly offered to cook us dinner if it was easy. We agreed and he happily took our order and went off to cook our food. About 10-15 mins later he came out with our food. I asked if he made it and he said “no. The cook stayed behind just to took your food”. What a guy! Both David and Chuy went above and beyond that night. They both made sure that we had our food and gave us some amazing service. This place has some great people working for them with some great work ethic. I hope the owners see this and give both of those guys a pat on the back.“

“Always stop here to eat out of the hot sun. They have a little more to offer here than the other ones. Free ice water helps a lot. Some people just don’t know how to clean up after themselves. Usually always half full. It’s always nice to watch the rhino, wildbeasts, elephants, antelope, ostrich while eating.

“I just want to say that I love this Foster Freeze. They work hard and I have never had a bad experience. The food is great. I know the owner and he is always looking for ways to improve his business. He wants satisfied customers. I am very proud of him to own a business at his age. Keep up the good work Shane. “We stopped in for a late breakfast at this IHOP on Tulare Street and were immediately seated. Only about one third of the tables had customers so we had good service throughout our visit.

As we have come to expect from the IHOP restaurants, the coffee was fresh and they left the carafe at our table to refill our cups as we like.

Both of our meals were tasty and still fairly hot. If you've ever worked in a diner, you know that serving a hot breakfast can be a challenge even if the restaurant isn't busy.

My wife's scrambled eggs were light and fluffy and my over easy eggs were cooked perfectly.

The bacon could have been cooked just a bit longer even if you don't like it crisp. The hash browns and sausage were perfect as was the French toast.

The gravy on the biscuits was just a bit bland though I suppose many would disagree.

The restaurant was clean and organized. If we're ever in this part of town again, we would not hesitate to eat here again.“
