“Best Chili ever! I can complain that it was just too spicy and a little thin at first. Yet 15 minutes later I'm still digging into the big 32 oz cup while sweating and helpless to understand why I keep sticking my spoon in this cup more and more. Words can't explain the taste of this place. It's almost like a bucket a list entry. Can't wait to go back again. And I'm from Florida.Parking: If you get there early they have a parking lot that will accommodate a decent amount of cars.Kid-friendliness: They treat all of their customers with respect and patience.Wheelchair accessibility: They definitely accommodate wheelchair bound clients“
“Our last-minute reservation on a bustling Saturday night at School House Restaurant in Sanger, CA, was met with unparalleled hospitality, despite our late arrival. This gem, rich in history and culinary excellence, provided an unforgettable dining experience from start to finish.Culinary Highlights: Our meal, shared family-style, featured standout dishes like the succulent Braised Duck Bruschetta, perfectly grilled Artichoke, flavorful Brussels Sprouts, creamy Brie Cheese, and the exquisite Mushroom Ravioli. The main courses—Braised Duck, perfectly cooked Salmon, a luxurious Wagyu Burger with Sweet Potato Fries, and the spicy Firehouse Burger—were all exceptional. Paired with refreshing pints of beer, each dish was a celebration of fresh, local ingredients masterfully prepared.Ambiance and Service: The ambiance was a delightful surprise, offering a nostalgic step back in time, complemented by modern culinary craft. The staff’s attentiveness and warm welcome made our evening even more special, exemplifying why School House Restaurant deserves every bit of its five-star rating.A five-star review for School House Restaurant is a testament to their outstanding service and culinary excellence. A perfect choice for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience.“
“Recommended to eat here by a friend of mine who lives in Sanger. I must say, I would drive any day of the week to eat at the Blossom Trail Cafe. I ordered Steak & Eggs, the steak was top notch, my eggs cooked to perfection, potatoes could have been a bit crisper, but I imagine if I would have asked my waiter they would have cooked it to my liking. Me & my family left with smiles on our faces and our bellies full. I highly recommend the steak and eggs because that's what I ordered and it was delicious. Our first thought when we left was "we are definitely coming back"Parking: Large parking space, next to an orange orchard, very beautiful, especially when the oranges are ready to be picked.“
“I'll have to begin this review by saying it's been around a decade since I've dined at a Denny's. My recollection from years ago is of diners that had dated carpet & booths, and just not all that clean.TBH, Denny's just went off my radar as a place to relax and enjoy and decent meal. Gotta say ---> I was pleasantly surprised to find the atmosphere improved, a rather impressive men, acceptable food, and good service.... and clean restrooms. It's nothing to write home about, but it's certainly improved since my youth. We only ordered some mac n cheese and a side salad to hold us over until dinner. The mac n cheese was just so-so; the salad very good. I could definitely see myself visiting Denny's again in the future -- in less than a decade :)I give it 3.5 stars“
“Very friendly local bar. My first time here was a few Mondays ago , arrived shortly after their opening time of noon (it was a holiday Monday ;)! Good sized bar to sit at and also a lot of tables. Looks like they might have had a pool table before covid times. This place has a western/local vibe and even though I was there with a Sanger native , it seemed like it would be a cool place to have a drink even if you've never been to Sanger before, everyone seemed very friendly/welcoming and the bartender was great. They actually have food too! A small menu of diner type/grill items, I had their ground beef tacos---delicious! Would definitely go back anytime. I'd like to go back at night to see their very cool neon sign lit up.“
“Cute, friendly, local cafe. "A place where everyone knows you name". Amanda, our Waitress, was chatty, efficient, and helpful. The servings were generous, in fact we took half of our meal home. My fish tacos were the best I've had. We are pretty new to Sanger and wanted to check out The Brickhouse to take our family to. It passed with flying colors. And we will be dining here often.“
