“I don’t always make reviews however this place deserves a recognition. I’ve made order from here a couple of times under the new management and I’ve experienced nothing but pleasant and warming customer service. The crème rolls are absolutely delicious, and looking forward to trying some other delicious foods & pastries they offer. It’s family owned and I believe especially in times like these we should support local businesses.“

“This place is SO good! Been coming here for years and the food is just as good as ever. First of all the service is excellent; servers Masoud and Nawid were just incredible people - super kind and helpful. The cooking staff - David, Yadira, and Judith are also so friendly and talented at what they do. The lamb under rice is always melt off your fork tender. The bolani is crispy and moist and just a little bit spicy, which goes perfectly with the tart yogurt. And the Mandu ? were delicious and unique from Asian dumplings. Portions are very generous and we always have leftovers. My wife and I love this place and highly recommend it!!!“

“Went for a birthday party on a Sunday night. The staff was nice and the Afghan food was yummy. Lots of food, dancing and music. Had a very good time. The qaubli rice and the kebabs were good. Especially the chicken which was tasty and moist. Often chicken kebab is a bit dry but they cook it just right at Maiwand Village. My son loves it and likes the Chapli too. I love the pakora (sliced, battered and fried potato).“

“All was delicious; however, some basic items one might expect were unavailable, possibly due to a large party (80) that would be there later. Our group of 6 was easygoing about not being able to order some things we'd wanted. The disappointment didn't last long because what was available was very good.“

“Absolutely loved my dining experience at {PESHAWARI KABABS]! The food was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients in every dish. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. It’s refreshing to find a restaurant with such a great selection of authentic Halal options. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious Halal food.
My sincere thanks to everyone, with special appreciation for Haji Dawood and Hazrat Bilal.“

“We are from Connecticut, and during a recent trip to the Bay Area, we had the extreme good fortune to try the Afghan Awasana Kabob House. Oh my ... what an experience! The food was superb … an epicurean delight, but also plentiful, and very reasonably priced. The qabuli palow - a lamb shank dish was a standout, and the squash bolani - a stuffed flatbread was out of this world. The owner was very friendly during dinner, only to be surpassed by what happened after our dinner. Upon leaving, our car would not start. The owner offered to jump start our car. When that did not work, he offered us a ride back to the house where we were staying ... which we gratefully accepted. On the way, while we were thanking him profusely, he indicated that this was not an imposition as he routinely gave rides to his workers. I was moved to tears with his generosity. The Afghan Awasana Kabob House stimulated my palate, satiated my appetite, and above all, nourished my soul with renewed faith in the kindness of humanity. A truly memorable evening that will not soon be forgotten.“
