We are from Connecticut, and during a recent trip to the Bay Area, we had the extreme good fortune to try the Afghan Awasana Kabob House. Oh my ... what an experience! The food was superb … an epicurean delight, but also plentiful, and very reasonably priced. The qabuli palow - a lamb shank dish was a standout, and the squash bolani - a stuffed flatbread was out of this world. What an incredible place. The food was fresh and delicious and the owner was so generous - giving us extra bread and dessert. Will definitely return.
