“It’s been a long time since I found a brewpub this good. The beer is diverse and distinctive, the kind of stuff that wins awards. The food is great. The staff is great. The neighborhood is great (and this is probably the first time i’ve ever paid Fresno a sincere compliment). This place goes on my map of great California brewpubs. Also, dogs welcome on the patio.
Wheelchair accessibility: Patio at least, entry is ok.“

“Ive been to Mad Duck about 4 times now, the service is always awesome. The last time i went to the one by fresno state, the Bar atmosphere was pretty darn cool. Great service, good food, i like that the menu is small and you dont get confused. Had the fish and chips, the fries were sooo good , the fish flavor was really good i just wish it was fried a few minutes more to make it crunchy. Also got bbq wings, always good. The beer is so cool since it is Brewed there. I had the “Hopical Paradise” sooo delicious, its more light and has a interesting flavor to it. I tried the “almond brown ale” i was not a fan, it was just darker beer and strong flavor. Im not a beer drinker so perhaps thats why. Definitely will go back.“

“Sequoia brewing is an oldy but goody. They have been a staple to the Tower District. The food, service, and atmosphere are solid. You get quality in a safe environment in a part of Fresno that is historic. You will always want to go back.“
“Still same ol Ruby's. Patrons where a bit obnoxious the day we were there. For being in Clovis prices are fair and the pool table is only $0.50. Bring cash, cause they do NOT take any form of electronic payments. No photos this time, we had one drink, I played one game, and we were off to the next stop. Kinda did a Clovis pub crawl.“

“Ok. Mixed feelings about this joint. It was the setting of the nightly before my sobriety date* back in 2006. It was The Body in the Bog back then, but the new owners have carried on the tradition of a proper small neighborhood pub setting with eloquence.
*I tied one on back in 2006, quit drinking two days later for 17 years. While still only consuming a bit for relaxation and to ease the mind nowadays, I just might head back here to whoop it up some evening just for the hell of it. Of course, with ridesharing apps and taxi services, I'd be able to safely navigate my way home after... wherever that ends up being.“
