All employees are nice and friendly, but the owner is an amazing human being, so humble and approachable, honest and relatable, love chatting with him every time we visit Cali, which is usually 2-3 times a year and we make sure we eat lunch and dinner at Sofra Urbana every day. Ellie, the staff at the counter, was very helpful and pointed out the burrata bowl option (I love burrata!) Feeling thankful already for the friendly service, I told her that I was ready to pay-- and then to my utter surprise, she told me that my meal was FREE and not to worry about it! My jaw dropped and I said-- no you don't have to do that!-- but she said it was her pleasure since it was my first time there. Wow! And the food was amazing too! Highly recommend!“

SO good. I had the eggplant special, but first I wanted to try something more adventurous. The spicy meatballs with marinara and sour cream (??) did not disappoint. The lentil soup... the (complimentary) baklava... salad, millet(?)... everything was superb.

Sorry to deduct for the atmosphere. I'm used to the country, I think. Actually, I'll put a star back, because the kitchen is all right in front of your face. They're not hiding.“
