This place is hopping! It's always busy, but it does have plenty of seating outside, and a little back corner near the restroom on the right, and then of course in the main area. I'm not sure what exactly makes this place so popular but I will say they do have really good coffee, I heard good burritos though they are a bit small, and I have the salmon toast which was pretty solid. I wish I could give 5 because the I really enjoy their food, the staff is so nice, and I love the atmosphere.
Only thing keeping me from giving it a 5 is the smoking. I wish they were strict on telling these guys to not smoke on the same tables and areas that say no smoking area.
This happens on a daily basis and while I’m eating or drinking all that smoke hits my way regardless where I sit because many of them smoke.

The place was an average coffee place. Service was ok. I only ordered a coffee.

The Coffee Commissary is a popular spot for coffee and meals, known for its Iced Vanilla Latte, Angelino burrito, and a lively atmosphere. Seating is plentiful, although it can get crowded and the music can be loud. The service is excellent, with each worker bringing personality and lots of effort to what they do. The coffee is truly amazing and all organic, but the food can be hit or miss—some dishes like the truffle tots may arrive cold. The Angelino burrito, habanero sauce, and brisket hash (weekends only) are favorites. Prices are slightly above average, and some customers may wish for larger coffee sizes. The homemade syrups and variety of baked goods are a highlight. While it may not be the best place for conversations or work that requires focus, it can be a great spot for a tasty meal or drink. Not many places serve great food and coffee at 7 am, but this is it.
