The only downside to this location is that the parking suck, and when it gets busy. Forget getting in. The lot is so small that the car line to get in is ridiculously long and sometimes blocks traffic.“

I had heard lots about this place, but due to them mostly being open on weekday nights, didn't have a chance to try them until yesterday afternoon.

I enjoyed the calming ambiance. Everything seemed randomly arranged, however it went well with the area.

The ice cream served here is very delicious and creamy, so if you like that type of style, you're better off coming here. I got the condensed milk and black sesame flavors with sprinkles, Gummy bears and mochi. Their mochi bin was nearly empty, and I discovered why when I ate my dessert. I mean, the other two toppings were also tasty and I'm glad I didn't do just mochi, but mochi had to be the best out of the three toppings I had.

Parking: My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of visiting La Michoacana Ice Cream University, a Mexican ice cream shop. We were looking for snacks to take out for the movies and we were craving some esquites. And so I quickly searched one up and found this place. This is located in a plaza and they're right across from the Azusa Pacific University. And now I know why they named the shop as such. Finding parking is really easy, I had no trouble finding parking although it was at night. But I'm pretty sure during the day you can easily find parking there.Food Selection: We ordered two small esquites – for the uninitiated, esquites are Mexican snacks made with corn kernels, similar to elote but served warm in disposable cups, minus the cob. We also ordered a fruit bowl topped with chamoy and tajin. While everything was delicious, the standout was definitely the fruit bowl, with the chamoy and tajin. It was flavorful and filling. (I will attach pictures of the food for reference.)Ambiance: Stepping inside, the shop was very clean, creating a welcoming atmosphere. I noticed in the front of the shop that they have free Wi-Fi but it was password protected. So I'm assuming that you need to ask one of the staff for the password if you want to study there for a while.Staff and Service: Though I didn't catch our server/cashier's name, he was attentive and friendly throughout our visit. I really like the fact that before handling the food, he washed his hands before attending to us– a small yet crucial detail that deserves commendation.Recommendation: I highly recommend La Michoacana Ice Cream University for anyone seeking some delicious Mexican snacks and ice cream! As a first-timer at a La Michoacana establishment, I was thoroughly impressed and satisfied with the experience. “I bought 2 orders of the churro sundae. Comes with 2 (6 inch) churros with a scoop of ice cream of your choice. The place was great, staff was great they went above and beyond. I only had one issue. One of the churros was great crispy and chewy in the center but the other one was stale. It happened with both of my orders. I will try it out one more time to see if it happens again. Otherwise, the flavor was delicious.“

We tried their vegan chocolate and milk chocolate gelato — both were absolutely amazing! Rich, smooth, and bursting with flavor. My wife had the hazelnut and chocolate chip, and she loved every bite. It’s rare to find a place that nails both dairy and non-dairy options, but they’ve done it here.

The service exceeded our expectations — not just because of the quality, but because of the care and detail put into every step. You don’t always find businesses that operate with both heart and excellence, but this one absolutely does.
