“I love Happy Eats. The staff is so sweet. These past few months I have visited often but, my most memorable visit was 5/11/25. We wanted to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and brought in a small desert and candles to sing happy birthday. The staff noticed and shortly treated ALL OF US (not just the birthday girl, like most places do) with their delicious cake. They also gifted her 2 beautiful bracelets. On top of their sweet act of kindness the staff was on it. They made sure we had everything we needed and continually checked on us. The following visit we made they remembered us and parts of our order. Again, they were super sweet and I witnessed the staff (I’m assuming dad and son) roll a man in a wheelchair to and from the bathroom. They continually stopped by the door to offer him help. They’re just so sweet! The food is delicious and the amount is very generous. Highly recommend trying the honeydew smoothie. The butterfly wall is a great photo opp. The umbrellas are also such a beautiful touch of decor. I love it all! The staff, the food, the atmosphere is a 10/10 👏👏“

“In Hanford, Ca., there are a few authentic Mexican food options. Jalisco is a simple walk up counter where you order your food exactly the way you want it. Burritos, taquitos (get there early), tamales, carnitas etc. Their Burritos are huge and include beans, rice, salsa (you can get this on the side) and your choice of meats or Chile Verde. Simple tasty food. It's one of the best options for a quick lunch. There are no tables available here so don't plan for a sit down. Try this out when you're looking for a tasty lunch. They're right at the end of main street near 10th Ave.“

“I ordered a large menudo with the works and corn tortillas. At first, I was wondering why it was taking a while to get it done, but then I realized the man was making the tortillas from scratch! For that, I'd wait all day. They were soft and warm, delicious. The menudo was absolutely fantastic. It was well seasoned and the tripe was well cooked and not fatty or greasy. The gentlemen were both courteous and friendly. It may be a little hole in the wall, but it's busting with passion in their food and service, it shows. I think it's under new management, because I've had other food here before a while back and it was nothing to write home about, but this time they hit the mark. Congratulations, this place has all the ingredients and potential for a long and prosperous future. I will be back.“

“First time coming to this restaurant, I heard many good opinions. The food was good, the environment was nice but, yea sadly my experience wasn't the best. I had one server, but before she took my order someone else (older) came by and got my order. I mentioned it was my first time coming to the establishment and wanted some recommendations but it seems like they were in a rush and just asked what I wanted to eat. I said chowmein and orange chicken and that's what they wrote. I really was hoping for recommendations since I understand every place has its own specialties. Some coworkers say the salt and pepper shrimp. Overall its good, but this place didn't go well with me. I was expecting a hint of spicy and sweet on the orange chicken. The egg soup was really good, really light on my stomach. Good place, good portions, good environment but maybe ask others for suggestions/recommendations prior to going. Enjoy“

“The other day I went with a friend to eat there at Dennys. I was so amazed ? at the hospitailty we received. I wish I had $100.00 to give to the sweet waitress. Stephanie was so polite, friendly, patient with us ordering. So we asked to speak with her manager Joana and she was also very polite we just enjoyed talking with them. I was having such a nice time. Then we made it down a chain reaction lol and spoke with her manager Frankie, I told them 3 that my dad taught me to give credit were credit is due. Excellent service and food. “The food was amazing! We had the bacon wrapped scallops, steak salad and stroganoff. The steak was cooked perfectly and the stuffed jalapeno that came with the steak salad was the highlight of the meal!

“The best sushi I had in a long time I use to go to tulare to get sushi estilo Sinaloa but this tops that me and wife are very satisfied and the service wow honestly since I walked in I felt like family and not a customer and the ramen wow very impressed I would always go to happy eats for ramen now toshiko is my new favorite cuisine today was my first time and for sure will be back 10/10 can’t forget the calamari wow very satisfying thanks for the service and the great meal“

“I am a foodie visiting Hanford from San Diego. I was very skeptical about this restaurant, however, I really wanted Mexican food and El Tarasco was one of the fiew open (outdoor dining tables). I was shocked with the quality I received. The chile rellenos are EXCELLENT (my benchmark----a fresh grilled pepper, high quality cheese, and not at all greasy). The margaritas were first-class, made in the restaurant rather than some inspid mix. They were $11 which is steep (especially for Hanford) but they are nearly twice the size of other, and they were served in a gorgeous Mexican hand blown glass. The servers were very friendly....always stopping to check if I needed anything. The only negative were the chips. They fry them there but I'm not keen on the actual tortilla they use......it didn't have a lot of flavor. This place is the real-deal winner. Bravo!“

“Been the go to pizza place since I was a little kid. Everything is great, only complaint I have is the seating area could use more of a nostalgia pizza parlor feeling rather than the feeling I’m at a Mexican food restaurant. Pizza is always on point and I will continue to come here.“
