“It's a typical American diner with an overwhelming menu - almost all things you can imagine are there! We had breakfast - waffles with apples and pancakes with bacon and egg. All was freshly made and tasty. Lovely staff, very eager to suggest something, helpful. The place itself is a bit vintage, a bit kitchy (a lot of random apple figures, paintings, etc), but it has its charm as well! Overall, that was a nice spot to have breakfast before hitting the road.“

“I eat at Black Bear Diner in Tulare at least three days a week, every week since August of 2025, Excellent service, Good Food, and HOT HOT Coffee. Being a diabetic and a strict diet they comfort me with my meal. Black Bear Diner in Tulare is where you find me.“

“I go every Friday to this spot during lunch as i work in construction 2 minutes away. The tacos are 1.25 every Friday so for 4 it's 5.41 including tax I love this spot the tacos are spicy tho so if you're not used to it ask for them without!“

Food is always fresh, and their oil is always changed/clean fries never taste like that we're cooked in old oil like some places. “Dennys for us is always a must especially when everything else is closed Dennys comes through by being open 24 hours no matter what town we go to. I do have to say that the food was delicious on this visit but we did go several days later and the cook might have been different because on that day it would have been a 4 star!“

Going out with our special needs daughter is not easy at times, but going to a restaurant who accommodates your request to “sit farther” is so important.. but to have a waiter like Dory makes our outings feel “normal.”

The China Inn was a great dine in experience for a party of 14! The service was top notch, they tended to us all without hesitation and welcomed us right in! The ambiance was family oriented and comfortable.

Lets talk about the food-- I yelped Chinese food places to eat in Tulare and so content with choosing this spot!

With 14 folks and different taste buds, we ordered a bit of everything and everything was OMG SOO GOOD!!! From the curry the jalapeño hot wings Combination fried rice Orange Chicken Sweet and sour pork Mongolian Beef KungPao Chicken crab rangoons house soup the chicken asparagus special was amazing!

They also surprised our Birthday Girl with a sweet serenade and dessert!

We don't pass through often but will say if ever in Tulare we highly recommend this place!!“

“The cashier was very friendly. She answered all my questions & was very nice. We ordered a Birria Pizza & it came with 3 consumes, radishes on top, limes, & we asked for different types of salsas. It was super good, hot, & fresh. The birria had plenty of flavor, but the consume didn’t have much flavor. It needed more seasoning or salt. The salsas were very good. The red one had a bit of an odd taste but definitely some spice to it. It was my first time going & I was pleased. Very clean inside & nice atmosphere. I would give this 5 stars if the consume had more flavor to it. I would reorder this again if I’m being honest because the pizza was very very good! Very crunchy & cheesy.
