“this truly is an amazing restaurant. This is a hole in the pocket restaurant definitely a mom and pop shop. The service is top-tier accommodated for a large party with small children under four. All food came out hot delicious and well seasoned.
I had the “campachana” everything was well cooked and delicious. My family ordered the seafood Molcajete and the beef Molcajete. It was spicy, plenty of food, wash it down with cold beer. There’s children cups, soda has a free refill, they had aqua fresca. Another family member to order the deep fried fish. They gave us plenty of tortillas and chips with salsa. They have breakfast lunch and dinner plates. They got a digital music player and lots of authentic Mexican songs to play. If you’re missing some real Mexican food, this is an amazing place, amazing people, amazing food.“

I do not understand how you could act like that towards your server despite the fact all of you are grown adults. We heard you saying how if she didn’t give you any discounts you were going to find something to complain about and weren’t going to tip her, right after she walked away. She gave you, as well as, us great service. We even heard her trying to fix an issue with one of the dishes. How are you going to complain about the food and still take the rest home with you? And still expect a discount? You were all too old to be acting like that. Cristina if you happen to see this, you did great. “Not sure what wizardry is happening in their kitchen, but holy Hera the food is fabulous. We are on the road for about 6 hours and rolled into Exeter for work late… starving about an hour before closing. Dinner was most excellent.. that potion they call salsa is fantastic… we went back the next day with our client in tow .. :-) .. but that salsa … got a tub to take home (safely cradled in its own seatbelt all the way back home). I’d say this place is well worth the drive and overnight stay in town 😎. As to what to recommend… all of it ..“

I enjoyed my orange chicken the proportion are pretty large . Something to think about if ordering for a small child. Overall worth the stop if you find yourself in the area...“

“Went to Porterville today decided to stop and get something to eat looking for barbecue in the area so I stopped here at Anvil to see how their barbecue taste. I ordered the pork rib dinner with beans and chips. The beans are really good and the ribs were made just how I like them had really good flavor. I can taste the smoke and the type of wood they were using. Was impressed by the flavor and the texture. The inside decorations Where wood tables with a brand on them. There was stuff out that looked like they do catering events, or getting ready to do a catering event.“

“The food was sooo good. They also have tofu and multiple vegetarian options. We had to wait for about 10 minutes to get our food. The eastern cuisine is authentic and served by lovely people.

“I went in on Tuesday and had teppanyaki with my family I had the New York steak and lobster which were cooked to my liking. I had a great customer service experience and was attended with little to no wait! The shift lead kandie was really attentive to our needs and was quick to help us out! Definitely recommend this spot and the sushi was delicious. The nanlanka roll was delicious. THEY ALSO SERVE JAPANESE BEER AND SAKE! I’ll keep coming back.“

“Top Spot for Pizza in Porterville! We had a medium 50/50 Chile Verde and Chicken Garlic Alfredo. Both were outstanding. Excellence crust and Tony is very generous with his toppings. Easy 5 for Food and Service. 3 for atmosphere for the barren nothing but white-wash paint interior walls and single string of Charlie Brown Christmas Lights in the Window. Sucks they dont allow you to upgrade your fries from your combo. Fries were a bit salty but everything else was great. Even the price! Paid 20 bucks for meals for two and even fed my kid.“
