“this truly is an amazing restaurant. This is a hole in the pocket restaurant definitely a mom and pop shop. The service is top-tier accommodated for a large party with small children under four. All food came out hot delicious and well seasoned.
I had the “campachana” everything was well cooked and delicious. My family ordered the seafood Molcajete and the beef Molcajete. It was spicy, plenty of food, wash it down with cold beer. There’s children cups, soda has a free refill, they had aqua fresca. Another family member to order the deep fried fish. They gave us plenty of tortillas and chips with salsa. They have breakfast lunch and dinner plates. They got a digital music player and lots of authentic Mexican songs to play. If you’re missing some real Mexican food, this is an amazing place, amazing people, amazing food.“

We are on the road for about 6 hours and rolled into Exeter for work late… starving about an hour before closing. Dinner was most excellent.. that potion they call salsa is fantastic… we went back the next day with our client in tow .. :-) .. but that salsa … got a tub to take home (safely cradled in its own seatbelt all the way back home). I’d say this place is well worth the drive and overnight stay in town 😎. As to what to recommend… all of it ..“

“Im writing this hoping the other group that sat in the back dining room last night sees this. I do not understand how you could act like that towards your server despite the fact all of you are grown adults. We heard you saying how if she didn’t give you any discounts you were going to find something to complain about and weren’t going to tip her, right after she walked away. She gave you, as well as, us great service. We even heard her trying to fix an issue with one of the dishes. How are you going to complain about the food and still take the rest home with you? And still expect a discount? You were all too old to be acting like that. Cristina if you happen to see this, you did great. I just wanted you to know that there was nothing more that you could have done to make those people happy. They seemed set to complain to get discounts since the moment they got there.“

“I only go here—even though I live near plenty of options in Visalia, none of them come close to Fortune Cookie. The portions are generous, the service is consistently great & the food is always delicious. For takeout, we usually spend $25–$30, and it’s enough to feed a family of 5 with leftovers. “It's a very nice little place to eat. They have both the people that run it are very friendly. They have a meetings and stuff back in the back for the city council. And stuff, when they meet, but it is very quaint, very nice and they have good breakfast and good lunch. And I go in there and I have for breakfast. I have a linguisa omelet and you sit down there. They know what I like to drink. They bring it to the table. They know me because I've been going in there. But it's a good place you ever come through Exeter, stop at the east-west and eat breakfast or lunch. They're closed on Mondays. That's the only day they're closed. Like, I say, the couple that run, it are very friendly, very nice.“
