“Went to this place after a reccomendation from a friend after the Lakers Nuggets game. The food was amazing. Big portions do. The service was so good by our waitress Lili that was just amazing. My son loved this place and want to come back ?. Ask if you can get Lili as a waitress when you book. Just an amazing dinner after a great game ?.We be back“
“My husband and I are Mexican and we loooved this place. The salsa, the beans, the guacamole with carnitas, shrimp tacos, grilled octopus, everything was delicious. The service was great too and the place is very nice. I would give more stars if I could. We are visiting LA, but definitely want to come back!“
“If you are in DTLA, be sure to go to Cilantro Lime ~ food is fantastic! Solid flavor, spice, heat, great texture, just simply delicious. Chilaquiles are some of the best i’ve ever had - not soggy, just the right amount of sauce, and the eggs were cooked perfectly.Owner was there, clearly he loves his work, and it shows! Staff were all nice.Vegetarian options: I don’t eat meat, but they can make chilaquiles without meat ( which is what I had), but they also have vegetarian meat options. These guys will hook you up, just ask.Parking: I’ll be stopping by each time we pass through LA. It’s in the heart of the fashion district, if you don’t want to deal with parking, order it for pick up and just hit one of the parking lots that charge $3 for 10 min. We found metered street parking just a few blocks away. Meter was $6 per hour, I would have paid $20!“
“Mija has been in my Yelp collection of places to try in Culver. It's in the center at the corner of Sepulveda & Washington. It has a spacious and comfortable outdoor heated patio and a huge indoor space. My first impression when I walked inside was WOW. The aesthetic and decor was stunning. It was comfortable and cozy but elegant and cool at the same time. I was greeted right away by Mel, with a friendly welcome and smile as she showed me to my table where I was meeting a friend for dinner and a few drinks. I'd studied the menu in advance- like I was preparing for the SAT exam, and I was really excited to finally be here. Mel was happy to make a few drink recommendations but being a creature of habit, I went with the strawberry margarita. I've got to tell you guys that the bartender deserves a hug and a raise because it was literally the absolute best margarita I've ever had. (and I've had more than a few). It was made with fresh strawberries, not some of that bottled syrup that you get in most places. After the first sip, I knew there was a second in my future! I was really excited to find out that they serve breakfast items all day, but I was in the mood for something a little bit more savory so we decided to share an order of the chicken nachos to start. Mel told us that everything was scratch made and they'd be happy to accommodate our request to make them with red and green sauce. The nachos came hot from the kitchen and I've got to tell you these nachos are a game changer. Most of the time when you think nachos you think bar food. These nachos were definitely next level! The chips were fresh the cheese was fresh. The chicken was moist and flavorful, and the sauces were definitely freshly made. I could hear the singing coming from my tummy as I was taking every bite. They are fork and knife nachos so you can get every single bite. For my entrée, I decided on Flautas - one potato with chile and one chicken. They were absolutely huge - accompanied by fresh salsa and rice. They were topped with arugula with a very light vinaigrette and pickled red onions. The same delicious moist flavorful chicken and the potato and chili were both delicious. Every single bite was perfect. The flour tortillas they were wrapped in were perfectly golden and deliciously crispy. Of course, at this point, I was on my second margarita because why not? Lucky for me that they didn't have straws because I would've probably had another! Did I mention that we scored $5 Happy Hour prices? Yay! Mija is definitely a place where you can know that every dish is made with intention and love. I'm even more excited about the fact that it's away from the hustle and bustle and chaos that is downtown Culver. It's right in my own backyard and easy to get to with plenty of parking. It's right off of the 405 at Sepulveda so it's easy access from just about anywhere. I don't know why this place is not packed because the quality and flavors of the food are beyond anything I could've expected and the prices are amazing. The service we received from Mel and the talented bartender are definitely worth a shout out. They were friendly customer oriented, and genuinely appreciative of our business. The next time you were looking for a casual place with excellent food and even better service in a great location, you have to come in and give them a try. You won't be disappointed and like me, you'll wonder why it took you so long to finally get there. Mija Handcraft Kitchen - thanks for the amazing food and drinks. It was an exceptional experience and you will definitely see me again soon.“
“Walked by so many times and it's always busy. Finally checked it out Saturday for an early dinner. We made a reservation, since it seems they are always busy. Although there were some vacant tables for walk-ins when we arrived. So many 'fun' margaritas on the menu and I had the completely satisfying skinny-marg with zero guilt. My BF had a classic and liked it enough to have a second one. For food we went with:Classic Esquitos (Mexican corn cut off the cob, with spice, cheese and just loads of flavor). Rainbow Carrots were delish. There were roasted carrots, pureed carrots and diced marinated raw carrots. Absolutely ordering these next time. Fish Tacos. Best thing was each taco had a nice size piece of fish, not just fish scraps. It was a bit too salty but an extra squeeze of lime offset the salt. Carne Asada Plate. Salt at first bite was so overwhelming we had to ask if there was something wrong. The staff was more than helpful, offering to remake it with no added salt or take it off the bill and let us order something else. Ultimately we decided to let them remake it with no added salt, they did tell us the steak was pre-marinated. It tasted significantly better without extra seasoning. Service was 11/10 both servers went above and beyond to make sure we were pleased with our dinner. Next time I'm definitely getting one of their specialty margaritas and nachos!“
“This great lady makes some very delicious food! Everything just tastes right and makes you feel happy and satisfied. I tried all the dishes and everything is on another level. Highly recommend!!Vegetarian options: All dishes are kosher and the owner has all required certifications.“
“First time trying this place and i let the cashier know and they were welcoming. She recommended the tacos dorados de brirria and they were gas 10/10. I ate a burrito and it was a . solid 9. I was dissatisfied with the Horchata it tasted like gas station horchata but with a little more sugar. Horchata was a 6.5/10. Other than that the whole experience was amazing. This business has got itself another customer .“
“Wow. The Percheron Burrito. It's so good and bad all in one - a bacon wrapped Sonoran style burrito. This thing shouldn't even be legal! From a flavor and foodie experience standpoint, this is a must try. Inside your bacon wrapped burrito is either chicken (my choice), carne Asada, or Al pastor along with queso blanco, tomatoes, sliced avacado, and finished with chipotle mayo. Pure deliciousness, but obviously nothing healthy about it besides the protein. This could become THE iconic LA burrito. A must try.“
“Hidden gem-- owned by a friendly Mexican couple from Jalisco, Mx. All food tastes like your fam made it! My usual breakfast meal are the Chilaquiles because of the tortilla crunch and spicy kick- paired with café de hoya. The couple times I've been there's always families enjoying their meals. Parking available and easy to walk to.“
“I really like this place. I've had their tacos and burritos 6-7 times now and it's been good every time, and the staff are friendly. I always take it to-go but there are few tables outside if anyone wants to eat there. Would definitely recommend!“
“Bar Ama was busy on a Tuesday night - great to see! The restaurant has been refreshed with new paint and looks "spiffed up". The menu has some new items (cavatelli with duck ragu!) besides the usual fabulous favorites (squash blossom quesadilla for example). The pitcher of margaritas is a good value at $36 which gives 4 generous and potent glasses. Support one of DTLA's best neighborhood finds in the Historic Core. We are fans!“
“the restaurant itself makes me feel at home soon as i walk in! the pupusas are amazing and makes them crispy for me every time just how i love them! i come here very often due to it being around the corner from my house! the owner is super sweet .. they always check on my table and make sure we are good and have everything we need, restroom is clean. The quesedilla bread oh my god!!! they are to die forWheelchair accessibility: spacious enough for wheelchair.“
“I recommend this place, if your looking for a aesthetic Mexican breakfast this is your place to go too. Also please get the tres leche French toast they are amazing, it’s not your typical sweet it’s just the right French toast. Also the cafe de olla is amazing super recommend.I would definitely come here again.“
