Delicious pan dulce and friendly staff. They bake their bread daily and you get that warm fuzzy feeling when you take a bite out of that concha... oh i love pan dulce. I am not quite sure but it seems like this panaderia is family owned and it's been there for as long as i can remember. Anytime I am in the neighborhood and my calorie count can afford it, i make sure to stop by and get my favs here.
Yelp brought me here and I was scared to enter the store as the store looked empty and on a Sunday afternoon the parking lot was filled with people who stared at you with one of them badgering us to buy him bus tickets. I am usually the kind that would've given him the money, but he was rude and nasty in the way he spoke and I was kinda weirded out. I am a huge fan of pan dulce, however It is hard to find really good stuff outside of Southern California. I have tried a lot of places, some in san jose being good. The problem is that many of these places are good at some things, and bad at others. My old-standby are conchas. The conchas I got from here we so dry they were inedible.
