Sleeper hit in Sonoma, seriously go/drink/buy! I often worry about wines not hitting the same way once home, and nope, the Trousseau was even more mind bogglingly delicious than I remembered. I brought the Cab Sav to a Nor Cal focused wine tasting and it was the crowd favorite of the night.
One of our local favorites, a short walk from downtown Healdsburg. Rootdown shares space with Leo Steen, and tastings can either include wines from both wineries or focus on the individual wineries. Indoor and outdoor spaces are easygoing and comfortable. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, excellent wines, including mostly varietals that are not the "usual suspects" (i.e., cab, zin, chard, pinot, etc.).
