“My sisters and I brought my mom here for her birthday. We let them know ahead of time and they had menus had “happy birthday” typed on them. We had several different kinds of drinks and entrees and they were all 10/10. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back!“
“Great food and friendly staff. We love coming to eat here as a family, and my toddler/preschool aged kids just love the food. The complimentary bread is delicious, as so is the rest of the food which ranges from pastas and pizza to hamburgers and fries. There is something here to suit everyones tastes. Plus, it's easy to get to in downtown Ceres, not far from HWY 99. They have a large dining area. The place is always very clean. Pictures on their website showed white table cloths, but there weren't any that day.That said, the food was very good and the chocolate mousse cake was to die for. “Went here for my birthday lunch a couple months ago and had Bruschetta, crab cakes, and chicken parm with fettuccine alfredo. This is my favorite Italian restaurant in the 209. Their food is always hot, fresh, and super flavorful! I can't come here without getting the Bruschetta and chicken parm. They also have a very tentative and freidnly staff. Truly a hidden gem of Modesto. 10/10!“

Don't let the outside fool you, inside is really cute and well decorated with Tuscany lookThe food is so good, my husband had the cioppino, we were quite surprised how big the bowl was and let me tell you, my husband is a big cioppino eater, this has to be by far the best cioppino he had ever had since we moved out here in the valley from the bay area, it's probably better then any bay area Italian restaurant, even I wish I had gotten it, I got the baked rigatoni and I really loved it, portions are huge , we both had to take ours home. We recommend the homemade tiramsu , this has to be the best tiramsu we had ever had, I almost don't want to write this review because I don't want too many people knowing about this secret gem, also because we didn't need any reservations. “We visited for the first time for an early dinner before symphony on a recent Friday evening. I had made reservations online and we were greeted with smiles when we arrived. Our table for eight was ready. Waters around were delivered and when our group had all arrived our waiter took our drink order. The wine list is adequate but not extensive. We perused the menu and our wine was delivered. Our waiter was kind to allow our party to have one check per couple, which our group prefers. The menu has Italian, Mexican and Greek offerings so something for everyone. Two of us had the gyros plate which includes soup or salad. My husband had the ribeye, some had the pistachio crusted salmon and others the chicken piccata. Bread is served with the meal. Everyone was happy with their choices. We even had time for dessert, chocolate silk mousse cake for us to share and rice pudding for others. We all agreed to add this restaurant to our rotation for symphony nights. Easy walking distance to the Gallo Center for the Arts and parking is nearby. Do give D'Forno Cocina a try!“
“Update: March 2024We came again Thursday for their new Prix fixe menu. You've got to try it! We had a tasty arugula salad with the perfectly tangy vinaigrette. The second course was short ribs with mashed potatoes and veggies. A little pepper would have helped, but still the meat was very tender, potatoes creamy and veggies with just the right crunch. Dessert was creme brulee, yum, one of my favorites.We had a large group and sat outside in the patio. The food was good. We tried several appetizers and they were excellent. My chicken dinner was only OK, but my husband loved his steam. Dewz, though, had an even better streak in his opinion. When the sun went down, there was outdoor heading and fire puts to keep us warm. Two nights later Surla's catered a dinner at the Vet Center and that was fantastic. We'll be back.“

“Vito's has the best Italian food, every dish comes out spectacular! From their bread, which is made there, to their appetizers, (we had Bruschetta with goat cheese and Basalmic sauce), soup, salads, and main courses! Everything is made with great care! Excellent Customer Service, and they also are highly trained professionals when it comes to everything on the menu! They have a wonderful wine and beer selection as well! The restaurant is beautiful, gorgeous mirals painted on walls, the layout of restaurant flows beautifully! I die for good quality and quantity, I eat a lot and I’m always having left overs and the food is even delicious cold or for later in the microwave. The hospitality here is outstanding as well. The customer service is on point when it comes to needing anything. If you’re trying this place for the first time I 100% guarantee this is your next hidden gem especially in Turlock. This isn’t like Olive Garden, I’m confident enough to say this is real fine Italian dinning. Some of my recommendations are chicken parmesan, but the go to is the linguini carbonara, it is one of the best tasting foods I’ve had in my life. The wine selection is great and also the Italian beer they have. It’s definitely a must try!“
