The food was super tasty and the servers were really nice but we had a table full of kiddos and ordered appetizers that didn’t come until all of our food did. And that took a bit. Which with kiddos was unfortunate. We were hoping to appease them before their meals came and there weren’t any crayons or anything either. So bring your own stuff for the kids while you wait for all food and you will be good. I got my kids the fried fish tacos and they inhaled it.
I hate all fish except Calico Fish House fish and chips. I drive 45 minutes from south county at least once a month just for the fish and chips. But, lately I’ve branched out. Their short rib tacos are the best there is and their BLT has what must be a quarter pound of bacon. I can’t think of any place I’d rather go. And, if you care about seed oils, they fry in tallow.
It was our first time here and we came here on a whim. Despite being busy the staff provided excellent service. They were very warm and attentative, special shot out to Manny.
