“We love the local dining options we have here in HB. The patio dining was lovely. The heaters were turned on when the sun went down and the two piece music was perfect. The tomahawk steak was very good although we've seen larger portions from other restaurants. The mushroom pasta was weird and had very little flavor. Would not recommend that dish. Over all the service was good. Drinks were a bit slow especially since the bar was not at all busy, Overall we do like this restaurant but there is room for improvement.“

“I only come here during the daily, karaoke nights and, soon, maybe you will too. Shanghai’d Room is a divebar thru and thru. But I can count on one hand how many bars I’ve been to where I felt welcomed on my first night. And this is the ONLY bar I ever made friends.

There’s usually one or two bartenders being very attentive — making sure glasses are full, singers are purchasing drinks, and new faces get a turn on the mic. each of them has their own charismatic charm and seductive appeal. I can’t help but call out MeowMeow as my fav tho because you cant help but get drawn to her personality (plus the music/mic balance is always on point all night). She was there my first night and the energy in the room was electric.

This is the only karaoke bar where you don’t have the pressure of singing in front of the crowd on stage because there isn’t one. If you’ve ever been in a private karaoke room with friends it’s like that but with 20+ people and ur own bar LOL. If ur flyin solo and like to sing with libations in hand: check em out, sing a song, compliment ur fav singers, and soon you’ll be makin plans to comeback and meetup.

Few tips and house rules to emphasize: no food served so you can byof, only one M & one F restroom, only patrons sing so if you don’t drink buy one for someone else (lol), try the WATER OF LIFE, respect every singer and ask them for permission before you grab the second mic, and FTLoveOG don’t pick multiple songs back to back. Even when a group changes singers with duets, singing 4+ songs looks like ur group is hogging the mic. Lets spread the love and elevate the vibes.“

“What a great place! Stopped for lunch with my daughter. I had the Super Burger and she had the Patty Melt. Both were fantastic. Our server was so nice and attentive. We felt like we went back in time. The vintage vibe was warm and inviting. Would love to come back some evening for a cocktail at the beautiful bar.“

“When we got done a Desconso Gardens, we were looking for a local place to try. The reviews we read were right on. I had a turkey avocado sandwich on Armenian bread. It was fresh and delicious. And the tomato bisque soup was out of this world. It is cash only so come prepared, but it's well worth it!“

“The food here is awesome. The vibe is pretty great too. It was a bit empty when we came for a 6:30 dinner, but they were setting up a band for later. Only downside is the road noise, but otherwise a perfect evening. We ordered hummus, fried mushrooms, lamb kebab, and beef combo kebab. Super tasty, and very tender and juicy meats. Definitely will come back!“

“I’m writing the food based on the appetizer bread I had because I wasn’t hungry that night. I didn’t get dinner, but the bread was absolutely delicious. The service was really good. The atmosphere was really nice and cozy and romantic great for any occasion great views definitely and there’s a valet parking. But you can validate and that would be free.“

A special shoutout to the bar manager, who showed incredible customer service. I mentioned that I had forgotten my debit card, and without hesitation, he told me not to worry and gave me a drink on the house. That simple gesture really stood out and showed how much they value their customers.

“I go pretty frequently here for Trivia Nights. The staff is amazing and does very well to get everyone’s order out with so little employees. Greg is the best! “Cool spot, came here on a Monday looking for a place that stays open late, this place blew my expectations for a regular bar, we had a DJ playing house music, the strobe ball was cool, great low lit ambience, felt like a goth bar with a modern kick to it, booth seating was comfy and spacious. Drinks acceptable, had a few beers on tap and Espresso Martini, this is now my mid week go to spot. Definitely will come back.“

“This is the find of the decade! Virtually hidden on a tiny street adjacent to the Coast Highway, the eclectic, artistic interior is as welcoming as the attentive and super friendly staff. Indoor and outdoor dining options, comfy furniture, a hip buzzy adjacent bar lets you know immediately you are in for a uniquely Newport Beach experience that you won’t want to leave. But all of this is nothing compared to the cuisine. The wide variety of ostensibly Middle Eastern menu items are comprehensive to meet virtually any dietary needs from vegan to Ketovore, but the competency across the board is astounding!! Lentil soup, yellow veggie curry, kabob, steak Diane - everything shines on its own merit. I planned to have one of the divine sounding desserts but alas, the portions were so generous that we had to take a rain check. Here’s hoping for a downpour!“

“Enjoyed a side of breakfast sausages and bacon. Sausages were a good size and had a little spice/pepper... Just the right amount. Bacon was crispy & nice and salty.Ordered both at the aMuse restaurant inside the Marriott, but cost wise it's better to pay for the buffet (which is in a separate room). The only downside for the buffet is the sausage/bacon/ham rotates each day.Nice service, clean and bright space.“

“The room is very spacious and the food is very good. This restaurant is in a plaza so there is a lot of parking for cars. The waiter is very fun and lively to talk to. The interesting part about this restaurant is that there is a karaoke stage for those who wants to sing in front of the restaurant so definitely recommend to bring friends along for karaoke dinner party. 10/10 would come back here again“

“nFuse is in the hotel we are staying at for a conference so we decided to give it a try. It was a pretty informal relaxed vibe. You seat yourself and wait for a server to come to your table. The servers were polite and professional. The halibut and pork chop were both perfectly cooked and very flavorful. The sides were good as well, but if you are very hungry beware... The portions are rather small. No appetizers, soup, salad, drinks or desserts and it was over $40 per person.“

I've been almost every weekend and really enjoy the drinks and fun vibe at Bar Pendy. It's a great spot to hang out and have a good time. However, the experience with the staff leaves a lot to be desired. The bartenders can be rude, slow, and often don’t take your orders promptly, which can be frustrating. The security staff also tends to be unfriendly and sometimes rude, and they hold you in line even when the bar isn't crowded. Overall, I like the place, but the service and security need some improvement for a better experience.“

“They accommodated a reserved party of 16, which became 20 for my birthday. They handled our large party well and everyone had a great time. The salmon was delicious - portion could've been bigger. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food/drinks! The staff was very kind to us and allowed us to bring a cake. They also allowed us extra seating time due to the size of our party.“
