“Carthay Circle Lounge was our favorite restaurant during our Disneyland trip. It was so good that we ate their twice! We loved the Vietnamese lettuce wraps the bao buns, and the Sparkling Mare cocktail was delicious. We had a reservation the first time and did a walk up for the second visit.“

“I came to visit the store next door. Decided to walk in. I was greeted with one of if not the most appropriate greeting a dive bar bartender can give you if their goal is to make me a regular. If you are not a dive bar fan... We understand.“
“My partner and I stopped by here as we had a reservation for the rooftop lounge later. We wanted to grab a quick bite to eat. Our server, I think her name is Kristen, was very welcoming and served us almost immediately. We told her we were going to the upstairs bar in a bit and she offered to have our food packed in a to-go container. The seating was comfortable and the food was great. Definitely a nice spot to hang or pre-game before a night out.“

“Good Lunch and Friendly Service Inside the Anaheim Marriott
This afternoon I had lunch at nFuse Restaurant, Bar & Lounge inside the Anaheim Marriott while I was in town for the 2026 ASSP Convention + Expo. Since the hotel and convention area were busy, I got there before noon hoping to beat the crowd. That turned out to be a good move.
I decided to sit at the bar, and the staff made a good first impression right away. The bartenders were friendly, welcoming, and quick to get me settled. Since it was still early in the day, I played it safe with an iced tea, which arrived within minutes, along with the menu.
I ordered the Roasted Turkey Club with onion rings. As shown in my photo, the plate came out looking solid, with a good-sized sandwich, plenty of turkey, onion rings, sauces, and a pickle on the side. The food came out shortly after I ordered, which I appreciated because I was hungry and had convention plans to get back to.
The meal hit the spot. The sandwich was filling, the onion rings were good, and the portion was so large I couldn't finish it all, even though I came in starving.
Overall, this was a good lunch with friendly service and convenient access if staying at or visiting the Anaheim Marriott. I will most likely stop in again while I am here for the ASSP convention. 4/5 stars.“

“An Unnecessary but Compelled Eulogy to Perfection
Let me profess: an elite establishment operating at a Michelin standard requires another five-star review about as much as the monorail requires a steam engine. The reputation of Club 33 is calcified in platinum, yet, upon returning to the Grand Californian this evening, I felt cornered by my conscience to offer the formal validation this private destination so richly commands.
A Masterclass in High-Low Contrast
I was lucky enough to be a guest at Club 33 for a late dinner, thanks to an old buddy from our 1987 Cast Member days -- we spent the summer at Disneyland portraying Dapper Dans, Br'er Fox, and Br'er Bear. He's the CEO of a thriving lifestyle brand now, but navigating the crowds together brought back fond memories of working at the park and hotel, and, as per usual, kept us laughing and swapping stories for hours on end. Club 33 did not merely clear our lofty bar; it dismantled it.
What Sets the Restaurant Apart
1) The Threshold Effect: Crossing that storied emerald portal in New Orleans Square immediately insulates you from the sweltering choreography of the park below, substituting chaotic energy with a muted, turn-of-the-century grandeur.
2) Gastronomic Rigor: Each course of the prix-fixe menu unfolded as a study in balance, texture, and restraint, easily holding its own against any culinary heavyweight in London or Paris.
3) Theatrical Symbiosis: Even my partner in crime -- traditionally immune to the usual hospitality tropes -- was enthralled. The staff managed an incredible synthesis of fine-dining etiquette and genuine narrative warmth.
4) Veranda Vistas: Concluding the evening with libations on the wrought-iron balcony, watching a luminescent New Orleans Square ebb and flow below, felt cinematic. For an old consultant and an old lifestyle curator, it left us rather spent for superlatives.
Some Advice to the Newbies in the Room
We all make honest mistakes when we're experiencing something new, but arriving at Club 33 in shorts and t-shirts, then later snapping photos in the restrooms, understandably caught the staff's attention. While that initial reminder by your server might have felt a tad uncomfortable, it was just part of understanding how a special place operates. Venues with this level of history rely on a shared sense of old-school elegance, which means everyone has to play a small part in keeping that magic alive by dressing up, setting the phones aside, and matching the dignity of the room. If fortune smiles on you with a second guest invitation, take a moment to embrace the dress code, rise to the occasion, and you'll find yourself having a truly wonderful time.
Final Note of Gratitude
A splediferous (Claire told me to use that word) THANKS to my dear friend for hosting us on a crazy time warp back to our Disneyland days. If truth be told, this was supposed to be a business excursion to review and grade his brand's new marketing campaign. I'm pretty sure I wasn't much help, considering we only brought it up twice. As luck would have it, we did get to spend the day soaking in Walt Disney's brilliant flair and constancy for brand marketing all around us -- so maybe Disney should bill him instead of EY. Cheshire cat-line grin goes here.
Cheers, mate, and make the rest of your week magical!!“
