Had lunch here yesterday. With the views out the windows of the beautiful California foothills, covered in green grass and poppies, it was a beautiful experience. We sat where we could see the lake and the fisherman coming and going. Missy was our server and she kept our drinks full and made sure we had everything we needed from the beginning. Spent father's day with my family, eight people all together. They did a great job of serving all of our orders hot! My chicken fried steak and eggs was absolutely great. Doesn't get any better. Wonderful food, wonderful service!

Just an hour out of Sacramento you'll find Lake Amador. After touring through the foothills of Amador County, cross the dam of Lake Amador, drive up to the parking lot, and you have arrived. The main entrance is down the left side of the building. The Tackle Box is a modest restaurant with yummy lunch food and a lovely view. I had the Po' Boy special.
