We love going to Boudin in San Francisco, and were delightfully surprised to find one close to our hotel in Irvine.The chicken club had super crispy bacon, and very fresh avocado, it was just perfect. The sourdough bread bowl with chowder is always perfection. Super quick and friendly service, and if you sign up for rewards, you get a free bread every month you make a purchase.
I visited after the lunch rush this week. The dining room had people at a few tables, and the rest of the tables were dirty. Ok, I get it, they were short handed like everyone else.They took my order promptly-a cup of Butternut Squash soup, yogurt parfait and a drink. $19. That seemed steep.I waited nearly 30 minutes for my food :(. That seemed a long time for soup and yogurt. The food is always good and fresh. The service is usually solid, food out in a very reasonable time. Atmosphere is clean, it is 5 star for "fast food" but not a date atmosphere.
