I moved away from the area in 2015, and one of my fondest memories in my 20s was grabbing a fresh large pizza with my friends from Laventina's original location in Newport Beach. I actively thought about Laventina's in the past decade because it was just that good in my head. So glad there's a location more accessible than the Newport one! I've been hearing about Laventina's for years and found out about this location and decided to try. AMAZING pizza, definitely cheesy! Love the sauce, crust, and of course CHEESE. 🍕 I haven't tried their wings yet, their garden salad was okay not unique but definitely fresh and a good size for 2 people for the half size. Nice eating outdoors, very relaxing.
My wife ordered the Rose Donuts tuna melt, loved it. I ordered the garlic cheese bread. The bread was very good, but way too many garlic chunks, ended up removing all of the large chunks.
Next time, I am bring garlic powder and requesting for them to add it before adding cheese (and omitting garlic chunks.) I believe this would be very good with the cheese bread.

Some menu items receive mixed feedback. The garden salad is okay, not unique but fresh and a good size for 2 people for the half size. The Rose Donuts tuna melt was loved. The garlic cheese bread was very good, but had way too many garlic chunks. One visit included a pepperoni and jalapeno pizza and hot wings; the wings were pretty standard but a little dry and overcooked, and the pizza was a big disappointment with thick cheese, flat dough, and no cheese pull. However, a custom order may be better, as pre-made pizzas might be sitting around. A wrap, pizza, and BBQ wings were all fantastic on another visit.
The staff, including the manager Jairo, is gracious and accommodating, treating all guests with dignity and compassion. This pizza café is more than just a place to eat — it’s a place where kindness, respect, and community truly matter. It is a go-to spot for great food and good vibes.
