“I think this is a really legit Korean diner! Staff seems great and place is clean and simple like you would find in Korea. For the first time, I tried cold bean noodle soup. It has such a thick and creamy soymilk broth, a very filling treat on a hot day. The super flavorful banchan complement really nicely. Exceptional quality.”

“Constellation is a jewel in both La Canada and Silver Lake. It’s one of a handful of really good coffee shops in LA. Their espresso is smooth but flavorful, perfect for that early AM wake up call. 2022: First time here. Just had the most delicious watermelon smoothie! The little bits of mint blended into it make it so delectable... wish I had a gallon of this stuff! There is some pineapple sherbet in there too apparently but not overpowering. Just slushy watermelon mint refreshingness. What a fantastic drink! (Need rum 🙂)”

“바삭바삭한 후라이드, 매콤한 양념치킨과 입맛을 확 당기는 간장치킨. 중학교 시절 나에게 첫 치느님의 문을 열어준 건 치킨데이였다. 치킨데이 왕자님의 인맥을 통해 가끔씩 공짜로 얻어먹던 닭들은 나에게 있어 얘기치 못한 즐거움, 마치 공원에 누워 네잎클로버를 찾는 행운이었다. 하지만 10년이 지난 지금 난 깨달았다. 치킨데이는 네잎클로버가 아니란걸. 한국에 와서 내노라하는 네네 스노윙, BHC 뿌링클, 굽네 고추바사삭 치킨을 먹어봐도 내 마음속 한 구석엔 늘 채워지지 않는 공허함이 자리잡고 있었다. 맛은 있지만 정이 없는, 뒷마당에서 키우던 강아지를 보신탕으로 먹으면 이런 맛이었을까? 그래서 이 리뷰를 통해 치킨데이에게 사과의 말을 전하고 싶다. 너가 최고라는 걸 깨닫기까지 10년이나 걸려서 미안하다고. 너는 행운의 네잎클로버가 아닌 항상 내 발밑에 자리잡고 있던 행복의 세잎클로버라고.”

“They are great, I can't say even 1 time out of 25 or so visits has the pizza turned bad. First, the flavor is good, second their consistency is spectacular so in other words, if you enjoy the taste once you're going to enjoy it every time. I love this place and always going to love it. Their cup and cripsy pepperoni is great, their Supreme is amazing, everything is A+”

“This spot is a hidden gem fr. Every drink I’ve tried here has been on point—flavorful, not too sweet, and the boba is always fresh and chewy just how it should be. The workers are mad chill and super friendly, always make you feel welcome. Whether you’re a regular or it’s your first time, they got you. Definitely one of my favorite go-to boba spots. Oh and the strawberry matcha definitely one of my favorites 10/10 recommend.”

“We are BBQ folks. We smoke our own and have traveled the country trying different spots. There is so much that goes into BBQ. For those of us who truly love it; it's an art form and science of cuts, color, bark, brine -- the whole deal. We've experienced much of the local (Southern California) flavor and have found a few spots that excel. We moved up to Pasadena recently and were Yelping to see if there was a BBQ spot up here that we could try. When we came upon Mission I was skeptical. It didn't make sense that a BBQ spot would do catering and weekend farmer's market stuff. The only way to see if the reviews were legit was to give it a shot. We found the location at the farmer's market tucked away and because we were late in the day, had to pick from the meats that were left. Ribs, brisket, mac & cheese -- and the two sauces they stocked (mild & spicy). Our order was bundled and we brought it home and launched into the meal. Brisket -- soft, moist, flavorful. Brisket is not easy to cook. It can get dry and -- sometimes greasy from the fat. This was none of that. It was excellent -- some of the best ever. 5/5!!! Ribs -- very good. Solid. My personal perfect-preference is ribs that are just a touch less moist -- but we are talking the difference between 98/100 or 94/100. They were solid. Great flavor. Mac & Cheese. Excellent. Texture, color, flavor, taste -- all outstanding. 5/5!!! Sauce. We had a cup of each of their offerings: spicy and mild. Each had a lovely smokey flavor. The spicy had a nice kick without blowing the back out of your throat. Again -- this is a little nitpicky, but we find the perfect sauce to be a touch less sticky. We've had great first meals and horrible second meals at certain spots and horrible first meals and great second meals. We like to try the food several times before writing reviews so we ordered again for another experience. This time we added baked beans, burnt ends, and smoked chicken to the meal. Second time was exactly as great as the first time. Everything was solid, solid, solid. Now -- the thing that gives Mission six-stars is the folks behind the food. These people are dedicated to making a contribution to the world through food as few are. They are kind, generous, dedicated -- truly amazing!!!! Judith and her family are the kind of folks I want to invite over to have the food we just bought from them!!! Wonderful, wonderful people!! Thank you so much Mission!!!! We are dedicated fans and followers for as long as you make food!!!”

“The team at Renaud’s truly takes the cake , especially Matt (Matthew) . He consistently goes above and beyond to answer my many questions! and always asks if there’s anything else he can do to make sure I have a perfect cup of iced coffee! Matt loves his work and it’s palpable!! It’s remarkable how much positivity he brings to the bakery and I am truly grateful to be treated so amazingly no matter how small my purchase is! “It was a fund raiser for my granddaughters' school. The place was full of moms and dads, friends, neighbors, softball members, younger siblings and grandparents. The pizza and salad were Delicious and as soon as the kids ate they played the arcade games and fed quarters into the toy machines to see what prizes they would get. It's well organized and has a quick turnaround -Order, Pay, Eat, Play. A fun place to get a great pizza.”

“The Dish is a wonderful place for any meal. With active toasters on the booth tables it reminds one to order a many bread items as possible when ‘Dish-ing’ for breakfast. I recommend the Chicken Piccata but substitute the mashed potatoes with linguini or the excellent Patty Melt sandwich served with humungous onion rings. The Salmon Wrap is also very amazing as it is perfect if one doesn't want to feel stuffed after eating and when paired either with a salad or sliced tomatoes its a perfect balance for one to 'feel healthier' The Green Garden salad that can be chopped upon request is a phenomenal and more healthy option and paired perfectly with an ice tea for lunch.”

“Always love their pizzas! The build your own is a great option when you want a loaded pizza. The half pizza option is perfect when u don't want a lot of food. The salads are fresh. The cinnamon sticks are really good. Very butterey, ask for extra icing. This location serves beers in glass/cans.”

As we were driving away, he flagged us down because an item had been missed. He went above and beyond! I wish we had caught his name. He was wearing a black button down jersey with the #24 on it.
