The wait wasn’t that bad. I loved how all the flavors blended together to make a perfect sandwich. Ham and cappacuolo went well together and the provolone. I was full by the end of my meal.“

“Went here on a Wednesday and got two sandwiches to go and the counter girl was so fast and so informative on the sandwiches.. even while she was making the sandwiches she was multitasking. “Focaccia bread was freshly made and warm, and the greens of the salad also very fresh and crisp. The portobello mushroom in the mushroom sandwich was very flavorful. My only reservation is the sun dried tomato spread instead of actual sun dried tomatoes. Very healthy plant based choices.“

“First time here yesterday and happy to keep coming back, had the hot pastrami sub and it was seriously good loved the mayo mustard combo with chopped tomato onion and pickles combined and layered generously over the whole sub Also had the Tonys special sub .. lots of fresh and tasty deli meats mortadella hams salamis and again the in-house mustard mayo combo .. awesome sandwich For a side I had the bow tie pasta which was cooked al dente with plenty of the marinated artichoke hearts and a great authentic Italian feel and flavour As this had now developed into leftovers for dinner given the size of it all I took us home a tiramisu for dessert later, and as with everything else well worth the eating Opened in 1979 and still going strong .. it’s easy to see why“

“Giamela's is an old family owned chain with amazing pepper steak subs. I have been eating here since at least the early 80's, and unfortunately they've closed a few locations. Their subs are generously portioned and freshly prepared. Aside from their pepper steak, their meatball sub among others is classic. The atmosphere and decor is basic, but that isn't why you come here. Service is friendly.“

While the lot isn’t huge, it’s manageable, and you get one hour free if you let the parking attendant know you’re dining at Mendocino Farms, just a small extra step for a great meal. I’ve also heard him coaching and training others and I can tell he’s an amazing leader. I come by this location at least once a month and always have a great experience.

Parking: There’s street parking all around the intersection, just depends how much you need to walk. Service is usually quick enough that I can put in a quarter for 15 minutes at the meter and I leave well before it runs out.“
