“Had a friend come back from Chiang Mai days ago still craving great Khao Soi. Was not disappointed! Owner helpfully directed to some great northern sausage and a pork and noodle dish that was delicious. Duck curry also delicious. Pick up some Singha at the liquor store around the corner and enjoy.“

“I'll give this place a ten star if I could; it's not your average hole in the wall joint! I tried the Spicy BBQ with shrimp fried rice and it was amazing! Even their Thai Tea was one of the best I've had in recent memories. The Shrimp fried rice had the perfect amount of fire taste: not too overpowering and not too subtle which was perfect. The amount was perfect as well: the thing was heavy for just one order. The Spicy BBQ also came with a dipping sauce that was very unique; it was citrous-y and fishy and it wasn't like anything I've tasted before which was amazing! For what it's worth, you can't go wrong with this place!“

“Sooooo good!!! I had my reservations as I love Thai food and it’s hard to find Thai food as good as what you have in Thailand, but this place is it!! I don’t know where to start because everything was so good!! We had the pork jerky, prad ka prow with chicken & egg, phat see ew flat noodle, fried tofu, and the noodle soup- with egg noodle. The broth was delicious, the flavors very layered without being overwhelming, the ambience is very welcoming. As a family, we definitely would come back again. Next time, I’ll try the curry ❤️😌“

“Our group of four had a lovely time at Miya! We ordered the chicken khao soi, beef pad see ew, beef panang, and morning glory. All were wonderful dishes and they arrived at our table pretty quickly. It’s more important than ever to patronize these kinds of small businesses, particularly considering their location in Altadena. Highly recommend!“

“As soon as you open the door at Kwan Kitchen, you are greeted with a friendly ‘how can I help you?’ Seating was available and we asked for some time to go over the menu. When the server returned she was very helpful in answering questions about the menu and on what to order. Spiciness is on a scale of 1 to 5. We both ordered level 2. We started our meal with fried dumplings to share. They were excellent! We then ordered tom yum soup and two entrees to go - pad see ew and pad thai.
The tom yum had veggies and shrimp and was excellent, even reheated. The shrimp was cooked to perfection, no easy feat in a soup.
Pad see ew was very good and good value as it provided more than one meal. Good balance of ingredients but would order a higher spice level next time.
Pad thai was likewise a good selection and tasted great reheated.
Be aware there are a lot of customers picking up and the parking lot is very tight.
I look forward to returning and trying their very popular curry!“

“We’ve been coming to this spot for years, even back when it had different owners the Thai food was always amazing. We recently decided to try it again under the new ownership, and wow… still absolutely delicious!
We ordered the Pad Thai, Thai Fried Rice, and Pineapple Fried Rice. My husband also had a Thai Iced Tea with boba everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. This is officially our go-to Thai food place!
The restaurant is small and cozy, with a calm and quiet ambiance. The service was excellent professional, polite, and very attentive. Even the bathroom was spotless, which is always a plus.
Highly recommend this gem in Pasadena!“

“OMG this place is fire. Don't judge the restaurant by the exterior. It truly is a hole-in-the-wall, hidden gem. I was losing hope in LA restaurants (we're visiting from NorCal) but this was honestly the best Thai food I've ever had! We tried the Panang Curry with Tofu and the Drunken Noodles with Tofu. EXCELLENT VEGETARIAN OPTIONS!! Everything tasted homemade, authentic, and most of all, FRESH! I can't wait to return and try other dishes :)“

“Tina, the owner, is an amazing person and great Thai chef. I dined in her cozy restaurant and we had a great conversation. I absolutely loved my Penang chicken curry over rice! It’s next to a famous boxing gym - all her favorite champions come by to eat after their workout. BYOB from the market next door“

“Tiny little place serving up food well above its weight class! Really good food! The chef even came out to personally ask us how the food was. So nice! Really interesting decor too! I'd come back with my date! But the place is tiny, so if there's no seating inside, and it's too hot or cold to eat outside, take it to go! The food is worth giving a new home in your belly!“

“Everything was great especially the food. I often order pad see ew at the places I go. It was exceptionally good. The chicken meat was excellent and I will order it that way again. Today on my second visit I’m trying the special curry with the chicken. It smells great and I’m ready to dive in. Thai tea is also good. Not overly sweet and no bite. This is my new go to Thai place.“

“Boat noodle & minced garlic 🐔 over rice were exceptionally tasty. If you are looking for authentic Thai food this is the place to come go. It’s a small parking lot with few parking but there are plenty of street parking. Come one come all and bring your empty tummy to be filled here.“

“Roasted Duck is better than most of the Chinese ones to the east. The duck is tender and well marinated, juciy. They give you extra sauce and dont waste a single drop for they are good for any rice and noodle dishes. The potion is definitely on the small side, $25 duck & rice is barely enough.“

“If you want authentic Thai food that is the style of Bangkok, this is the place. Khao Soi and Boat Noodle are specialty dishes and not always on the menu in your local Thai restaurant but this place has the best I've tasted. Very clean and reasonably priced, Boran is right at the beginning of Thai town here in Hollywood, give it a try... you will love it !“

“The restaurant is very clean and the food is tasty. My favorite is fried tofu, I cannot find this menu from any restaurant. Food presentation is very simple but very tasty. I do recommend fried rice, it’s simple and difficult to cook. _/\_“

“Tub Tim Siam on Hillhurst is a small, family-owned Thai restaurant with a lot of heart. It’s run by a really sweet older lady who takes care of everything herself, so the service is very slow — but worth the wait if you’re not in a rush. The food was really good, with the Pad Thai being a highlight. The mango sticky rice was absolutely amazing, probably one of the best I’ve had. We also got coconut water, which was super fresh and refreshing. A cozy little spot with a homey feel — just be prepared to be patient!“

“had my birthday dinner here, and it was a lovely experience! the staff was so accomodating and kind, and we really loved the patio seating with heaters that kept us warm even in the cold rainy weather. the atmosphere is quaint and the food is delicious. amazing portions for the price! we thoroughly enjoyed pad thai, pad see ew, tom yum soup, kimchi fried rice, and crying tiger (an amazingly tender, smoky steak served with sticky rice) along with a handful of appetizers like salmon wraps and fried tofu. everything was really yummy, and we had plenty of leftovers. 6 of us feasted for about $200, with tip included in that amount. I tipped extra at the end because the staff was so kind and patient with us, even though we were the last to leave after their closing time.“

“This restaurant is incredible. The vibes are so authentic and I love that the name is based off of the restaurant’s Thai village origins. Lili who served us was so welcoming and gracious. The food was just an absolute 10/10. We ordered Thai tea and Thai coffee- wow. Then we got Chinese broccoli with beef and tofu over rice- so fresh and flavorful. Finally we ordered Khao Soi with chicken drumsticks- the curry-like, nutty, creamy broth was divine with the soft rice noodles and the crunchy noodles with the cabbage and onion mixed in- COME ON!! It was a fantastic well-rounded experience and I highly suggest anyone try.“

“This restaurant is great. The food is delicious, the menu has something for everyone, the service is excellent and the atmosphere is lovely. I will definitely be a return customer.
Parking: Very tiny parking lot with most spaces with 10 minutes limits for pickup for other businesses so we parked in neighborhood.“

“The food truck showed up in Playa Vista the other night so we decided to give it a try. Great $10 pad see ew noodle with great flavors. Probably not as good as from a legit restaurant but a good pass for food truck. The portion is generous and can feed two people“

“Hands down one of the best Thai food in LA. Not the fancy dining type of the place. But the food is exceptional. Make sure you order the non-average Thai restaurant items and be adventurous to try things on the menu. They do a great job at cooking seafood.“
“Best clubhouse and support group around. I love that they have a great homemade Thai food restaurant and wonderful people that work there, especially the men at the front desk.

“Haven't been here in a while, but last week I was craving for some Thai food, and I know in this area this place has really good food. Service was great, the place is absolutely amazing with live plants and I feel that is very romantic with very low light. However I noticed that on the menu the prices are totally different, please check the prices. As I usually like to get lunch specials, not because of price but, because I get small portions of everything including rice. Anyway the food was absolutely delicious, I ordered to go, mixed vegetables with pork, not lunch special which was very good. Price range with rice and Thai tea or other drinks about $25 to $30 bucks per person, or depends the dish, might be a little higher. Highly recommend this spot to everyone craving for some Thai food“

“Yes, the awards are justified!!! This is an absolute gem but be prepared: your mouth will burn. Cute little place, tight seating with some chairs, often times stools only – but cute. The menu is not excessively long (and great: nothing can be changed bc it should not be changed). The staff guided us through with welcome recommendations. 1 ½ items per person appears to be enough even though they suggest 2 items per person.
The food was a (hot) dream: beautifully presented, phantastic breadth, combinations and variations of flavors, perfectly sync’ed with various textures. Only the lobster was dissatisfying to dissect without appropriate tools.
It would be nice if there was a sweet bouquet possible at the end, but there is room for evolution. Will come back even without that ...

“Let’s be clear, This Is A Nice Place. The food was “good” Nothing wrong at all.
I can’t say I was blown away by the food but it wasn’t bad either. I’d go back without a doubt but I’d also be willing to try somewhere else.
I’m a little torn because everything tased good,. the lady serving us was very nice. I thought the amount of food was a bit too little, just a bit.
I thought the price was a little bit high but what isn’t these days? Give it a try. I’d like to know what r else thinks…“
