“This is my absolute favorite smoothie bowl place EVER. Unlimited toppings, and they always load them up. Free visitor parking in the nearby lot, but during school hours, it's pretty difficult to find a spot. Plenty of parking during summer break, however!

“This spot is definitely gorgeous for a coffee break. Awesome view and clearly a local student/staff favorite. They grilled our egg salad sandwich in the panini maker and the iced matcha latte was delicious. The crew here helpful And warm. Also very quick. I only wish there was more “bar style” seating for those who tend to linger for hours on their own instead of taking up a whole table. It’s been super crowded with no seating the last few months bc people tend to stay for hours working. Which I totally understand. But for a UCSD alum like me, I may just wanna sit for half an hour maybe an hour at most and often there is no seating. That’s my only suggestion. Add single person searing. But I’ll definitely be back and hope to come before a “rush”. The line can get very long. (I get it. I used to work in a cafe at the Price Center and it was crazy there). Also would Love if they stayed open later. One can only hope.“

“Live in PA visited SD for vacation and I LOVE Acai Bowl's (and really picky on how it tastes). This place was A+, it was delicious so much so we went back again the following night (if that wasn't our last night we prob would have gone back again and again).
On top of how good it was, both nights the staff was exceptional (thank you Sofia and Maddison)!
I noticed on my receipt when we got back home that somehow instead of a $5 tip it charged me a $50 tip YIKES, but I called and they were so very nice and gladly refunded me the $.

“AMAZING!! My husband and I went to San Diego for a quick getaway and wanted to try Chiefy Cafe based on the reviews. We were so glad we did as the coffee and food is Amazing! We ordered the Open Mind Fat Burner, Mexicano Latte, Acai Bowl, and Turkey Bacon Avocado Croissant. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious - we wanted to savor every bite!! The staff is so friendly and Camile customized the Turkey Bacon Avo without the bread for me, as I am gluten free. We only had 2 days left in SD and went back to Chiefy Cafe and ordered the same thing each day. Camile & Larissa assisted us and were awesome! HIGHLY RECOMMEND CHIEFY CAFE!!“

“Cute little spot on Bacon and conveniently located near OB. The breakfast sandwiches were good - sausage, egg and cheese croissant & ham, egg and cheese everything bagel. They forgot the cream cheese we added to the bagel, but still tasty. Given the outdoor spot, I assume the egg and sausage at least were frozen and heated up before added to the sandwiches.

The fruit bowl said blueberries, strawberries, bananas and mangos, but there were no mangos - still very tasty!

Vanilla cold brew and iced Carmel macchiato both hit the spot.

“This place is excellent! I probably eat here or order out at least once a month and have done so for the past 2 years. Their picanha steak is delicious and cooked perfectly every time! I usually order the coxhina and polenta to go along with it as well. Their french fries are also always fried to golden perfection too! Crispy and delicious 🤤. The avocado toast is delicious, perfectly seasoned and topped with fresh tomatoes and olive oil. And don't get me started on the iced vanilla latte, it's rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. Açai bowl: I love them these guys make them superb! I got a few extras like Nutella and it felt like they add in a generous amount! Any topping paid or not paid for is added generously and you can customise this as you’d like!

Service: The first time I went there was a board with we will be right back and then I went in another fifteen mins and they were up and running. It seems the staff was having their lunch but they were super quick and available again in fifteen mins! The lady who prepped my bowl is super duper sweet and friendly and very friendly.

Ambience: Nothing much like ambience as it’s a small kiosk like space but there are chairs and tables nearby and quite a few of them and hence great place to sit outside“

“I was visiting the area for a work trip and looking for coffee/ pastries to bring to the office. MUCH better than going the Panera / Starbucks route plus the added benefit of supporting local. Convenient online ordering to make your morning pickup even faster. Delicious pastries and scones from a local bakery - light and flakey. Favorite (so far!) is the white chocolate cranberry. Also on my list to try - brownies, muffins, bagels, paninis. The Acai bowl a delicious and will be part of my morning fix for breakfast when I am visiting. Quick in and out plus delicious!
