“Going to this place and enjoying the smell of freshly grilled kebabs made me nostalgic. The food itself took me back to a place where I once lived and created magical memories. There aren’t many places in the world where you can have a food experience like the one they offer. The service was also amazing—the staff was helpful, even when I went just minutes before closing. If you want a taste of the East, if you desire a memorable meal, I highly recommend going there to enjoy an authentic and affordable experience that truly takes you beyond.“

“Food is always on point and the people very friendly. But I wonder how important cleanliness is, it feels that everytime I go, the tables and floor are a mess. I get that a lot are disgusting and don't know how to clean after themselves, but as a restaurant, they should consider cleaning the dinning area. Hope this doesn't come off in a wrong way, but that's an important part in my opinion.“

“This Place is a hidden gem. Walking home and saw the recently opened "THE KABOB GRILL". I went in for an exquisite dinner. I had the chicken kabob- with my discount it was less than $15 for a full plate or rice, salad, yogurt and a pita. The plate comes with a grilled tomato and I requested some of their hot sauce. You should too! There is a big parking lot across the street and I was told they offer free valet.“

“I ordered 5 Ground Beef Kabob Skewers , 5 Chicken Tikka Skewers, 1 chicken cream chop, 1 Shawarma Wrap, Rice, Hummus & Salad. Served with Pita Bread, Grilled So when I got home I find out there is only 4 Ground Beef kabob and 4 chicken Tikka And that was so embarrassing for me because I invited 5 people for lunch That was really bad experience“

“Afghan cuisine is wonderful – flavorful without being overpowering. Think aromatic spices and tender meats, not just heat. The rice dishes with carrots and raisins (Qabil I Pulao) and the dumplings (Mantu) are must-tries. Such a warm atmosphere .🙏“

“This was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. I usually go to a different restaurant for Middle Eastern food whenever I’m in El Cajon. But it was closed for remodeling, and in search of an alternative, I found this hidden gem. The gentleman who made the food was very welcoming and hospitable. The food was some of the tastiest Middle Eastern food I’ve ever had. Prices are very reasonable, portion size is big, service is great, and the food is delicious. This easily made my list of must go to restaurants whenever I’m in San Diego. I’m usually by the coastline, but I will gladly make the drive to El Cajon to come here. Also great to support local small businesses and Christian business owners. 🙏☦️“

“I know nothing about the seating arrangements, pricing (high or low…I’m from out of town, and door dashed). All I know is the food I ordered chicken samosa, veggie samosa, chicken biryani, garlic naan and tikka masala (spicy with chicken) is some of the best Indian food that I’ve had on this side of the world. Highly recommend!“

“First time here and not disappointed. Didn't have a long wait like others said. The doma was excellent. I got the combo to try their meats - beef kabob, chicken Tikka, and beef shawarma. All were seasoned well, especially the shawarma...very bold. But it's the cook on the meat that set them apart! All 3 were tender, juicy, and savory. Too many overcook these but they just melted in my mouth. Highly recommended.“
