“3/5 for a first timer during restaurant week… the special menu was $50 per person…. we never got any bread with our dinner (and didn’t realize we were left out until we were on dessert)… and, portions were small, so the bread would have been nice, especially for $50… also, the server made us make our food order at the same time as our drinks… personally, i like to have a drink or two before i order my food… so, the service was rushed in that sense… and no one asked me if i wanted a second glass of wine i had the veal and my friend had the lobster ravioli… both tasted decently but, again, small portions… the burrata was amazing and the desserts (tiramisu and lava cake) were pleasant i think i’d like to try again on a night that isn’t as busy, and order off of the actual menu“

“Overall an amazing and exceptional experience. The food is unique and nothing you can find in any other Mexican restaurant. Quality is superb and the presentation and creativity was inspiring.

But my favorite part was the amazing quality of the service! We felt like we were welcomed into someone's home. Our server was fantastic, but so was every other server we saw. They seemed genuinely happy and proud to be there. They took time to acknowledge everyone, not just their tables. I rubbed my arms a little and immediately had the nicest guy come right over and light the heater.

“First time here and not disappointed. Didn't have a long wait like others said. The doma was excellent. I got the combo to try their meats - beef kabob, chicken Tikka, and beef shawarma. All were seasoned well, especially the shawarma...very bold. But it's the cook on the meat that set them apart! All 3 were tender, juicy, and savory. Too many overcook these but they just melted in my mouth. Highly recommended.“

“I live in New York and they have Best tortas and strawberry and cream cup on west coast. Whenever I come out from East coast this is my spot. Employee's are great. If ever in area you need to try. I love everything on menu I come daily for fresh squeezed juice and they have any combination of juices not on menu. They are best . Fruity Loco is my number # 1 smoothie spot in country.“

“These guys have been in La Mesa for some time now. I've enjoyed several pizzas from them over the years.

Recently, I had the Supreme Calzone, which was great. It came well stuffed with all its ingredients. The pizza crust was very good, too.

Service is good but better when the young ladies are there in the evenings.

“The layout of this place is a little funky, and I think it’s odd that they stack pizza boxes in some of the booths, but it’s got all the right elements for that old school 90’s pizza shop vibe, and the pizza to match. Pinball machine, fireplace, soda fountain, pan crust pizza - check, check, check. Dine in or take-out are both solid. Don’t miss the pics on the wall of the original Round Table Pizza location.“

For San Diego, this is as good as you can get off Convoy. Classic family owned restaurant, looks like it’s been in business a while. Very kind and attentive with awesome food.“
