It took me a while to find someone to make that cake and Jaleh was very helpful, she made the cake in short amount of time and was excellent on letting me know when to pick it up and special instructions. “My family stumbled upon this little cupcake shop in Berkeley while on a day trip. There is a good assortment of decadent cupcakes to be had. We tried two (cookies and cream and the red velvet )and they were magnificent! I highly recommend! The shop is small with no sit down options so you must take your treats to go.“

Location: the location is in a shopping plaza near sunvalley mall and diablo Valley College. The same plaza with happy lemon. Parking is easy to find in the area. Ambiance: smell of Filipino seniorita bread and baked goods fill the space. However, there is no chairs and tables. It only has space for the tables and chairs. Food: you don't need to travel to Hawaii to eat a good masala. Starbread has a variety of deserts like seniorita bread, mochi donuts, Filipino style donuts like bichu bichu. And masalas. Credit card is accepted if the order is more than 7 dollars. The ube msalas is delicious. Overall, come to this place if you miss Hawaii and want to Try filipino baked goods for a reasonable price.“

Otherwise, this place caters for those who prefer to eat on the go The nice thing about this place is that even when there is a long line, it moves quickly. So if you see that it's packed, don't be dissuaded I got mini moon cakes from here for the Mid-Autumn Festival and they were good, dense but not too sweet.“

“I recently got to try their fruit fondants and lavender shortbread. The fruit fondants are good if you like sweets since they really mainly taste like sugar - I couldn't really make out distinctive fruit flavors - and are almost powdery in consistency. I really liked the lavender shortbread since it does have a fairly strong lavender flavor and has that buttery richness of shortbread. However, I do find Miette to be a bit on the pricey side so I wouldn't generally want to buy their sweets on a regular basis.“
