Wonderful staff on occasionally overwhelmed by number of patrons. Very good traditional food and superb coffee cake. Definite go-to place.
Cute little eatery with fab coffee cake with an original 1975 recipe and delicious food. Reasonably priced and clearly very popular, it's quiet enough in the week but be prepared to wait on a weekend. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, strongly recommend this place!
I just moved to the area and a bunch of people recommended the coffee cake here, and I completely understand why. It was incredible! It was served warm, soft, and not overly sweet. Also, the owner started chatting with us and was really nice. He ended up not charging us for our coffee cakes and lattes so we could pay it forward. That made our entire day. Millies American Kitchen is a cozy, family owned local go-to for a great breakfast. The homey feel and cosy atmosphere are full of care, with a friendly, fun, and laid-back vibe. The wonderful staff are cheerful, patient, prompt, and go out of their way to make guests happy. The menu features items like Mexicali scramble, Chilaquiles, huevos rancheros, a perfect Mexicali burger, and a good benedict. The famous Millie's coffee cake is heavenly, as good as it gets, and often served complimentary. The ice tea is delish, served in a giant Mason jar. Service is fast and thoughtful. Outdoor seating is comfy and dog friendly. This local institution is a great place to chat with neighbors, with longtime regular customers and newbies alike. Guests will be back for a big breakfast soon.
