“The owners at Van Dyke are so friendly. I visited at the recommendation of a friend. It's located in a business complex, and parking is paid, but they validate. Some of the drinks are named after their regulars, which is what we ordered. I love strawberry-chocolate anything, so Spencer's was right up my alley. Inki's was really good too. There's so much room for seating, and I love the ambiance--it's so open. It was great to stay and study. We also were given a cookie on the house, which was enormous and took me days to eat (but it stayed perfectly good). We will be back!!“
“Came here for a quick coffee and enjoyed the experience. Tim is the owner and was at the counter taking our order and making our coffee. He was very friendly and made a great cup of coffee and chai tea latte. He was just about to close but had no issue making us coffee. We sat outside on the bench, there is also seating inside. Next time will try some of his breakfast items.“
“Ellie's Table is a great little spot if you want a nice little brunch/lunch/snack/pastry or coffee with a quaint cafe vibe. We love Ellie's whenever we come to the OC. We used to go to the San Clemente location before it closed. This was our first time at this location. Food: 5/5 We ordered a variety of things here and each item was wonderful. I ordered the brunch burger. It was cooked to perfection and practically melted in my mouth with each bite. We also got some pastries and the lucky charms cappuccino. Everything we got was wonderful. Atmosphere: 5/5 This place has a very nice little cafe vibe. There is some seating indoors, a cool little private area upstairs and some nice seating outside lining the building. It's a nice place to hangout and visit with friends or loved ones while enjoying some food and coffee in a relaxed environment. Customer Service: 4/5 One of the employees seemed a little irritated that she was there while she rang us up. But, overall the service was ok. She was young, so I doubt that it is like this with all the employees all the time. Price: 5/5 The prices here are great for what you get. I got a massive burger with a sunny side egg for only $14. The nice palm sandwiches are only $3.50! They have items for if you want a full meal or just a little snack. They are all priced very well in my opinion. Parking: 3/5 There is a tiny parking lot behind the building. If you can't park there, you are looking for street parking or parking in another lot in the Downtown San Juan Capistrano area. This place is such a nice little OC gem. I highly recommend if you are on a trip or even a local!“
“I was looking for a nice breakfast location a little different than other places with good pastries and coffee. Came across this place and our experience was great. The owner is super nice and recommended pastry and the ham sandwich which was amazing and more importantly fresh!I highly recommend this little cafe totally worth experiencing the food and vibe. The variety of pastries are so great that can easily get everyone their own favorite item??“
“We started out with the Roasty Toasty and Bourbon Caramel lattes (house made syrups!) and I literally cannot decide which one I like better! We paired that with a cinnamon roll to start! I then shifted to bottomless mimosas and they were hot on it making sure I was well taken care of. We got the croque madame for sustenance and it has the perfect ratio of cheese and ham. I want to go back every day!“
“My husband got the iced salted cream cold brew and I go the iced Lavendar vanilla latte. Both were so delicious! My husband got the Eggs Heidelberg and wouldn't get it again. The flavors didn't work for him. I got the Almond French Toast and I was in heaven!!! It was absolutely amazing and I would go there every morning for breakfast to eat that if I could!! 10/10 recommend. It's a self-service place, but the cashier/barista who took our order was nice. We sat in the far corner to have an ocean view and we loved it.“
“My favorite was the butter pecan donut. I loved the donuts in general, they were different than typical donuts, more fluffy and airy. I didn't like them super fresh out of the fryer since they tend to be a bit oily, liked them when they sat for about 15 minutes. Not a big time difference but a big taste difference.“
“I had a wonderful experience at Moulin! The food was delicious, the coffee was absolutely perfect, and the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality meals and a friendly atmosphere. Definitely a 5-star spot!“
“This isn't your typical surf shack joint. Typical beach cafes don't serve beef short rib sandwiches. Much of their menu is a step above what you'd likely be expecting from a location like this. From the outside it looks unassuming and familiar. You walk up, order, find a spot and grub. As far as I can tell, you don't need shoes or a shirt just an appetite. It's not refined or snoody, it's just damn good. They season their chips. The lowly give-away that most places serve stale as low-cost hunger appeasement filler, is done fresh and treated with care. Putting forth effort into making the most basic parts of the menu delicious means they really want everything they put out to be delicious. The thought and care behind the quality of their items is often sought but rarely found. Also, the salsa with their chips is really bomb. You can't go wrong with the BBQ short rib sandwich, chowder fries, or fresh ceviche.“
“Maldon's Bistro is a heavenly delight for anyone who desires delicious gluten-free French cuisine, baked goods and more. Plus the staff are professional and very friendly. I've eaten here many times now and highly recommend them as a person with a gluten allergy.“
“This is the most reasonably priced coffee cafe in South OC. The seating accommodations are plentiful with the library nook being cozy. I've tried several different flavored lattes and have not been disappointed. The food is unique and tasty.“
“Excellent meal and service! Ordered the Parlor salad, Bucatini all Amatriciana, and Guanciale pizza. Salad- great assortment of greens with fresh mozzarella and salami calabrese Bucatini- Pasta was cooked al dente with loads of Guanciale and pomodoro to make the dish extra special Pizza- Love the San Marzano tomatoes and the Fresno Chile/olive combination. Great crust with that char fired crust“
“The food here is incredible, and they're not kidding when they say they make everything from scratch. Their menu is a combination of classic American with a bit if Asian fusion. The open concept of the restaurant allows anybody to watch their meals be prepared, which further fuels the concept of utmost transparency. My boyfriend and I have been coming semi regularly and the food quality has always been incredibly high. The staff are kind and accommodating and the owner is very sweet. It's obvious that they really care about what they do. During peak hours service can drag a little, but the servers are also often preparing drinks as well and the food more than makes up for the wait. The atmosphere is relaxed and trendy, and the type of place I'd love to bring friends to.“
“Ramos House Cafe was our first stop in San Juan Capistrano, on a Tuesday in April. It was a beautiful spring day and the al fresco seating of the cafe was perfect. We were greeted by amazing service. We ordered the apple beignets, crab hash with a side of fresh biscuits, and americano. Everything was delicious. Freshly made is an understatement. I can't wait to be back!“
“Susie, the owner, is truly amazing!!! Their services are very good and their food portions are very filling. They also have halal chicken and beef which is amazing about their store and they taste really good, along with their desserts. Their smoothies are also a must try. Especially the strawberry smoothie where they use real fruits too. Must try!!“
“This is the best meal I've had in south orange county. I'm not kidding. I ordered the BLAT salad. The salad had pickled veggies and a generous portion of pork belly which was a wonderful surprise. Already craving my next one and it's only been a day?“
“A great breakfast spot. Busy yet quick to serve. They mean business :-). Serving up breakfast quick without making guests feel rushed. Delicious, will be back. The staff kindly greeted us, apologized for the wait, then served up our meals in a snap.“
“Come stop in! Patrick made my experience. He was so patient & helpful as I was debating my selection. Having never been here before, I wanted to try to espresso by itself but also wanted to try a seasonal bevvie. He recommended I try the Campfire Capp & that he could do a split shot so I could taste the espresso separately. The Capp was made to perfection*, & the espresso was a lovely Colombian. I will definitely be back when in the area!“
“The food is amazing! I will definitely be going back. Only thing I would change is make it more restaurant style service, meaning I’m able to sit down and have the waitress take my order. It’s a little awkward ordering at the counter ?♂️ Other than that the food was out quick and the quality was “
“Always phenomenal. Great people making delicious and healthy food. One of a kind restaurant and market.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options. I opt usually for the incredible beans, which I also regularly buy and make at home. They are distributed by a company called Rancho Gordo. If you have never tried their beans and are a bean lover, life is about to get a little sweeter.Parking: Free parking behind the restaurant.“
“I was only in California for 3 days and I can’t stop talking about the meal I had here! The food was out of this world amazing! The waitstaff was super polite and very attentive. I recommend this restaurant to everyone who I traveled with! During the week, there was plenty of tables and no wait. When I come back to California, this restaurant is a must for me!Parking: Easy and cheap parking for $4“
“Went here to tried out the Bingsoo dessert and was not disappointed. So many versions offered. We ordered the berries Bingsoo to try. The bowl was huge. Can feed at least 3 people. Finely snowflakes typed shaved ice served with all the different berries and drizzled with condensed milk! Not overly sweet. Easy to order, scan the QR code or there is a menu at the register to pick from. Need to go back to try the pasty portion of the desserts. Indoor and outdoor tables available! Staff was very friendly!Parking: Parking is hard to find in this area since the entire squares mile is filled with various restaurants.“
“Such a cute little coffee stand by the beach with good drinks. It was a little bit of a walk if you're coming from the beach but it's not too bad. We ended up getting the Churro Latte and Masala Chai Latte. They were both very sweet and not too strong. The drinks also came out pretty fast. Thanks to the staff for helping us decide what to get and giving great recommendations.“
“This place is a hidden gem. The bakery items are all amazing, Soft fresh breads and pastries, sweet and savory options. Wonderful tea and coffee options. Friendly service, clean restaurant. We have loved everything we tried here. So glad to have found this place!“
“This was my FIRST time here and I loved the food & drink I got. Food I ordered: French Omelet Drink of choice: Matcha Latte (iced) w/lavendar syrup The omelet tasted very good because the eggs were soft/spongy and the cheese of choice was perfect. The matcha latte was excellent - they have other syrup options you can choose from (the sign is by the cash register tablet). The side salad was good too! This place was hard to find but the spot was located on Richard Reese Way (street name), next to SuperCuts. I will be back - glad I found this place!“
“I had a light breakfast and needed a little something to hold me over so I went in to see what they had in their pastry display, when I remembered they had food here I looked at the menu and was pleasantly surprised to see they had Tripas as an option for their Tacos!! Yum!!! The portion was more than what I wanted as a holdover, but can you ever truly complain about that?!? Also got an Apple Fritter and that was fluffy and flavorful, I’ll be back to try some more things in the future!!!“
“Overall a good experience. Great service and nice ambience! The food was decent but nothing special. Definitely worth trying but would not say it's a MUST go. Not sure if I'd go again but maybe I'll try their other menu items!“
“Sun-dried tomatoes has an amazing catering service that is reasonably priced for the high-quality food that they serve. I have used their services 3 occasions. recently, I picked up several items to serve on Easter Sunday for 20 people that we're gonna be at my house. The favorites were the chopped salad, the traditional, deviled eggs, the espresso brownies, and the other fancier salad that had berries in it. Everything was great, and the woman who helped me decide what to get, was incredibly pleasant and professional as she gave me great advice about what to order. The braised beef is the only thing that I might not get again becauseit might not have been enough all by itself to serve 20 people. We had also gotten sliced turkey breast from honeybaked ham, so it was a nice mixture. Try them out.“
“Our waitress was Sandra, she was very friendly, attentive, explained some dishes from the menu, and took our order in a timely manner. Our food was very delicious and warm when it got to our table, food took about 10-15 min to arrive, which I find ok because it was busy, but my shake did take longer than expected. Overall, I will be coming back. Service, atmosphere, and food were very good.“
“A rare, true beach bar in California. One of the best gems on the coast, everybody, there is so cheerful and very polite. Drinks and food are wonderful . Views are stunning -best service by far-Complete with surf music and right off the sand. Watch, surfers and dolphins and occasional whales while drinking your favorite cocktail, does it get any better?“
“I noticed that one of my icons is for "breakfast burrito" so I thought I'd lean into it, especially since amazing breakfast burritos are found all over Southern California, where I frequently travel for work as a criminal defense lawyer.Anyway, I was at the state court in Santa Ana so i thought I'd try Pop's. It's an old timey diner set up with counter service and a few tables. They have all kinds of breakfast but I was here for the burrito, which I got with ham. This was a gringo style breakfast burrito, the best example of the genre is Ham n Scram in Westminster. It had the chopped up ham, hash browns, cheesish, eggs and a Pico de Gallo with Tapatio in a bottle. The ingredients were pretty obviously Sysco, which is fine. A little heavy on the hashbrowns, which were also a tad undercooked, but I devoured it and the five stars speaks for itself.Vegetarian options: Eggs!Dietary restrictions: Dairy, glutenParking: Street parkingKid-friendliness: Sure.Wheelchair accessibility: Tables in front“
“Cozy Brunch Spot with Room for ImprovementEveryday Eatery in Sand Canyon Plaza offers a cozy cafe vibe and a healthy brunch menu that hits the spot.?️ Delicious Brunch Fare: From avocado toast to hot cakes and waffles, the brunch options were delicious, fresh, and well-prepared. The variety of drinks, including iced matcha latte, americano, and Earl Grey tea, catered to different tastes.? Casual and Friendly Atmosphere: The cafe exudes a casual and friendly vibe, perfect for hanging out with friends. The patio seating adds to the relaxed ambiance, making it an enjoyable spot to spend time.? Staff Service: However, I found the staff to be lacking in friendliness and could benefit from more training in customer service. Improving staff interactions would enhance the overall experience for guests.? Clean Facilities: On a positive note, the washroom was clean, reflecting the restaurant's attention to hygiene.? Reasonable Prices: The prices were reasonable, offering value for money considering the quality of the food and atmosphere.? Plan to Return: Despite the minor issues with staff friendliness, I plan to return to Everyday Eatery to try more of their food. I'll update my review next time based on my experience.Overall, Everyday Eatery is a charming brunch spot with delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere. With a little improvement in staff training, it has the potential to become a top choice for brunch enthusiasts in the area.Parking: free parking lotWheelchair accessibility: yes“
“this place is a low-key and hidden gem. I've always gotten their sandwiches (great on sourdough or the "rustic roll," which is their pizza dough) but recently got a pizza for my 2 year old and DAMN it was good! bubbly chewy crust, simple quality toppings, tasty ranch on the side, grab a bottle of vino and chill on the patio... perfect place to grab a bite with kids, no snooty vibes, and a variety of options. we have definitely become regulars here.“
“One older lady didn't realize her voice was carrying through the entire cafe, so everyone heard her conversation about post partum issues her younger relative had, unfortunately. There are very few outlets for laptops, so if you're planning to work/study, come with your laptop fully charged and be prepared to leave your device plugged in next to someone else. Coffee was good and staff were very friendly and kind.“
“They sell flights of tea or lattes which I was really interested in but there wasn't enough seating to order it. Their were actually several open tables but no chairs. It was kind of loud so she didn't catch everything that I was ordering and I had to place a second order. That said, the staff was really nice and the decor was really cute and most importantly the matcha tea, latte and macarons that I ordered were fantastic. This was the middle of the day on a Saturday so I can totally understand it being this busy and I think I'll try to visit again on a day or time where hopefully it's a little less crowded and I can try those flights.“
“Great food and coffee. Perfect spot for a light lunch - and between the awesome courtyard and outdoor seating area and the online ordering, it’s great for dine-in or take out!Add to that the friendly staff and delicious coffee - definitely the best cafe in the area!“
“We had two 1/2 sandwich+soup combos. One was the avocado sandwich + salad. The other one nature's mix sandwich + lentil soup. Both excellent. The portion of both 1/2 sandwiches and that combo salad are big. The cup of lentil soup is delicious and filling. I'm happy to pay that 10.49 combo price compared to lunch places nowadays could easily charge $13-$14 for combo like this and the sandwich is "wimpy" but loaded with mayo & butter. I've lived in Tustin for 20+ years I don't know why we didn't come here sooner. This is a no frills just a comfortable casual neighbourhood place to enjoy some fresh and simple good food. Will definitely come back.“
“We are fans of this coffee shop, but for me it is mostly due to the location! We are not in this area often, but whenever we are nearby we make a stop over here. I have only been here twice, but it's now a situation where we need to stop by when we come this way. I remember enjoying my drink on my last visit, I believe I probably ordered a lavender latte. This time I tried the matcha latte, blue hummingbird style with spirulina. I have come to the conclusion that I am not really a fan of matcha with added vanilla or syrup. I like it straight and bitter. So, that was a bit sweet but the drink was cute. Service is A-OK. It was slow this last time. However, the location makes this place a gem. Check out the business photos. I could seriously relax here all the time if I was nearby.“
“Love the food here! Their hatch burger was really good especially the burger buns are amazing!I understand they don’t customize per your request as mentioned on their menu but we asked for ketchup they didn’t have. We asked for extra hot sauce they gave us a few drops of it in the little sauce cup (came across as rude). We requested for extra kimchi in their kimchi ramen they couldn’t fulfill that request as well.I may go again for its food but I’d hope for more hospitable behavior next time.Vegetarian options: It’s all vegan“
“I Google search for healthy lunch option in this area. Yes, there were many popped up, but since this place closes at 3pm(I think lunch is served until 2:30), we wanted to go right away.Wow!!! We are so happy we went there. It was very easy to find, and easy to park! All the staff were so kind. The place was very clean and well organized. Surprisingly, it was not loud either.Yes, their Food was wow, too!!! Every bite was so delicious and felt refreshed even after the meal.Thank you for providing a delicious healthy food!We ordered…Lunch(built your own plate):-Seared Salmon w/Citrus Tzatziki,-Spiced Cauliflower w/Sauce Verde,-Autumn Farro Salad.Grains & Greens:-Beets Around The Bush(Fried goat cheese was new for us, but texture was good! And I think it went well with roasted beets and pistachio vinaigrette.) yum!Plus, Boxed Water and Ginger Ale.Our Total $40+ for 2 of us.Parking: Easy to park“
“Weirdly a cafe & health/vitamin store combo. The food is served no frills, somewhat basic but the salad & sandwiches were very good. Large portions as well. The chicken walnut salad was very fresh. Service was quick & pleasant. If you're looking for ambience this is not the place to go but for a decent quick meal I'd recommend.“
“I absolutely loved Metro Bean it's one of my favorite places to frequent in Tustin they always make sure that my daughter has a drink and a cookie to go with her meal last time I was there they even change the channel on the TV so that my daughter could have something to watch they take such good care of us every time we go in this place deserves more recognition it's a great experience every time we go to metro bean If you would like me to review your business please follow me on Instagram at Strawberry.hibiscus and dm me the information of your business“
“If you're looking for a satisfying breakfast without breaking the bank, Cloud Cafe is the place to go. Their steamed omelet is not just delicious but also a healthy choice, thanks to the steaming method. Another standout is their French toast with fruit topping, which is both tasty and generously portioned. Highly recommended for a budget-friendly and flavorful breakfast experience!“
“I am addicted to this cafe/deli since it is next to my work and so ready+accessible. the staff is so friendly and welcoming that sometimes I just want to go to talk and say hi!! the vibe is adorably small, quaint, it's sometimes packed sometimes empty but the staff are always working hard on orders. Another huge attribution to my addiction is their matcha caramel coldbrew, I had to refrain myself from posting the entirety of my vast collection of photos of coffee orders on this review. I'm a SUCKERR for sweet coffee drinks. I've never ordered a new drink here and gotten disappointed! It tastes the same every single time too. the food here is easy to pick up, for lunch i'd usually go for a sausage dog or a bento box the french toast is also an item that can be rare, but when it's available it's a MUST for a sweet treat!“
“Board and brew always has excellent food, experience in the restaurant is always enjoyable. I'm not much of a beer guy but my dad enjoys their beers. Had a rough experience on 3/13 and the manager reached out on 3/14 asking for clarification so he could educate his team and apologized for the inconvenience.“
“We celebrated my sister's birthday in this cafeteria, and we have an amazing day. The foods and the drinks were very good and worth it. Besides, the waiter and the waitress that served us at that time were very friendly, nice, and professional. They treat customers very well, and that was a satisfaction to us. Their cafeteria also has a good view and style. It was perfect!“
“AMAZING food! Great family owned restaurant. Clean, fresh, healthy food. We have met the owner and his kids and they are lovely people. I can't believe this place isn't swarmed with people because it is so delicious, peaceful and healthy. I will be back soon!“
“Having visited Hafez Cafe multiple times, it's now our preferred spot for Persian brunch. The food's quantity and quality are flawless, and the customer service is outstanding. They willingly bring in house baked bread and tea upon request with no extra costs. If you're craving "Kaleh Pacheh" in Southern California, this is the place to be, and their prices are reasonable too.“
“Delicious food with fresh and tasty quality ingredients. Friendly and helpful staff that remember your favorite orders and substitutions when you visit or call. This location appears to be an offshoot of a larger family-run restaurant/bakery in Fountain Valley so they carry delicious-looking pastries and pies from their mothership location ("Amarith Farmhouse - Restaurant & Pie Shoppe"), which I ogle longingly through the display glass, knowing my dietary restrictions prevent me from eating, but for those without, have at it! They make a good-tasting latte as well. A welcome addition to the Corona del Mar dining experience, providing a healthy full meal at reasonable prices, unlike a number of other local restaurants.“
“I stopped eating meat But I cheated!! The food is delicious! I had the a blue cheese wedge salad with pieces of medium rare steak. Yummy!! I am watching calories. I eat here and lost ( 28 lbs) Girls just tell the cook you are watching calories and express your likes and OMG!!!!! Service is Awesome! Ambiance is like a family setting.“
