Parking: Small parking lot but plenty of street parking. Always find a spot to park.“

“Been going here since I was a kid for over 20 yes. The tacos are always good some say they're a little greasy but that's what gives it flavor. The Chile Verde burrito is always good as well. Service is always quick and the girls taking your order always make you feel welcomed. It's not the biggest place in the world but I think that's what makes it standout compared to the other la Mina's 20 mins away in Bakersfield. You can also find the owner there most of the time greeting customers as well. Great taco shop“

“They are so nice here! I am not from this city but my daughter lives here for a little while. We popped into Rusty's because I love Rusty's Pizza pretty much everywhere I Go. This is the first time I have ever had the barbecue chicken pizza. It had nuts on it and I know that sounds crazy but it works. It works so well that I have thought of nothing but that pizza ever since. I hope that the owner can find the funds to repaint and remodel just a little bit, but I love the bright open floor plan, the traditional Rusty's video games, and the self-serve drinks.“

“Finally had lunch at the guild house. It was absolutely lovely, I was greeted as soon as I walked in. I did have a reservation and my table was ready. Everyone was extremely pleasant. I was offered a hot or cold option and I chose the hot option. Pea soup, chicken Marsala and strawberry shortcake to finish. Polenta fries were perfect!

“We were craving authentic Chinese food last night and came across Ching Yen. You can tell the owner, Sue, takes great pride in her food, and it really shows. We started with the Sizzle Rice soup and Hot and Sour soup. Both soups were rich and delicious with fresh ingredients. We ordered the small bowls and each was big enough for two people to share one and have extra. We decided to try the Combination Appetizer platter which came with two of each appetizer and two dipping sauces. The Sizzling Beef Iron plate and Chicken Fried Rice had quality fresh ingredients. You could tell the pride that went into each dish. Sue was a delight and expressed how much she enjoyed her customers. She made it feel like you’re visiting family for a home cooked meal. I’m a soup fanatic too, so I can’t wait to try some of the other soups on the menu. We’ll be back soon!“
