“I come here every time I’m in LA. I don’t need a menu, and a lot of times I don’t even need to put my order in. These guys are awesome. They only see me once a month but have my entire order memorized when I walked in. Chicken Tikka Masala, Buttered chicken, 2 mango drinks, Spicy chicken Biriyani rice, and 2 orders of garlic naan.

We don’t even wait 10 minutes before all our food is already out in front of us. One of the best Indian spots I’ve ever been to in the US!“

“This is the second time I have ordered from this restaurant, and the Vizayawada biryani is absolutely delicious. You won't find another place in Los Angeles that serves biryani with such an authentic and flavorful taste. My suggestion would be to make the biryani spicier and add a bit more sauce for an even richer flavor.“

Cocktails ? well mixed and round off an evening on site. The food was well seasoned and the size was appropriate for the price/performance ratio. We always find a place and there is always a place to sit for a longer time - check only when asked and not, as is often the case, directly at the table - so this is particularly pleasant for European guests... Just real authentic food without all the pretense of some of the beach city places that supposedly sell "Indian" food. “I am absolutely delighted with my experience at Angara Indian Restaurant! The menu is a love letter to Indian cuisine, with a wide variety of traditional dishes to suit every palate. I started off with the Shrimp Tandoori and Mint Paneer Tikka, both of which were outstanding. The shrimp was perfectly marinated and grilled to perfection, while the paneer tikka was creamy and flavorful with just the right hint of mint. For my main course, I tried the Lamb Tikka Masala and Navratan Korma. The lamb tikka masala was rich and creamy, with tender lamb pieces cooked to perfection in a flavorful tomato sauce. The Navratan Korma was a delightful surprise, with a delicious mix of vegetables, nuts, and dried fruits in a creamy sauce. “I’ve looked Tikka Masala ever since I was a kid and eating at this place has just made my love for the food even better. I tried the Panner Tikka Masala with naan and I was happy with the food. It was fresh and hot! The naan was also hot and freshly cooked which made the meal completely better. I also ordered Shrimp Tikka which is something completely new to me and I loved it. It tastes like a kebab and very crispy. Great Customer Service! Lots of dishes to try from the menu. Check it out!“

“This is one of my favorite restaurants in the LA area. The food is delicious! Restaurant is always clean and friendly staff really makes it enjoyable to eat there. I highly recommend trying it if not this location there is also a Santa Monica location. 👍“

“I'm a regular here - the masala dosa is so good I have to have it several times a month! Gobi Manchurian when I want a sweet and sour and savory and spicy carb treat. Get a side of plain yogurt to dip it in and mellow out the spice just right. Delicious smooth chai tea if I'm there for lunch (caffeine). Don't look for ambiance here, especially when they're at capacity. Very noisy with open kitchen blenders, searing dosa on the large griddle and tables close together all amplified by terrible acoustics. I only go at off-peak times.

And whole spices like cardamom and anise are SO much cheaper here than big box stores! Everyone who works here has been so helpful and patient we me as I try learn Indian cooking. Be aware that they have a small <$1 chg for using credit card, but you will get that back many times over with how much you save.“
