Livermore has a number of taquerias and Las Caporales is good but not spectacular. First the ambiance is great if you can eat outside. You can eat your tacos and watch the citizens of Livermore walk and drive by. You order at the counter inside and a server brings out your food pretty quickly. It's been a couple years since I've been here. This was my favorite quick eats Mexican restaurant when I used to live in Livermore. The place looks bigger than I remembered, and then I realized they moved right next door! We ordered our food. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands, and by the time I returned... voila! The al pastor tacos were delicious! The meat was juicy and flavorful, but the rice and beans were far below par, especially compared to the quality of the tacos. A friend ordered the camarones la diabla and said it was very good but quite spicy so definitely not for the faint of heart.
