“Outstanding authentic Mexican flavor. Tastes sooooooo good! If you like tacos (and who doesn't) you MUST try the menu item called "3-Taco Birria Pulled Beef" with cheese/lettuce/tomato. I was blown away by the rich flavor. It's served with a cup of delicious broth on the side which is great for dipping. I'm always craving this meal. Another recommended choice is the deep-fried Quesadilla with marinated Birria pulled beef. This one has fresh veggies on the inside and is layered with a rich, tasty cheese on the outside. I can't stay away from this place!!!“

Majority of the time I eat solo because I run errands or have appointments after I eat there however I’ve introduced my family to this wonderful little cafe whenever they are in town. They all are big fans of Granny’s and always want to go there when in town. By the way my fam is from Santa Barbara & Los Angeles! Besides enjoying a nice meal I love talking with my fellow customers that’s one of the pluses of a small town cafe. Sad to see someone had a bad experience thank heaven that’s the exception not the norm. Granny’s is the only place I eat pancakes at usually in place of toast plus I love that they offer fresh fruit 🍉 not canned. Also enjoy their daily soup, split pea being one of my favs, also love their Taco salad. Well I could go on and on with various things I enjoy however some things you’ll have to try for yourself. As far as service it’s always been good for me however I know there has been changes and with that there is a learning time with new personnel. I’m sure everyone has had a good or bad experience now and then when eating out, here’s wishing you a great experience when come to this little towns cafe❤️“

“Love the food here... especially since this is literally one of the very few Mexican restaurants in Turlock that offers ground beef as a meat option. I love the Nachos Supreme (with ground beef), and the tacos are amazing! They have a nice salsa bar also. The seating is a little cramped for my liking, so I just take my food to go. No biggie. Also, I detest seeing flies in a restaurant, but this place seems to manage it pretty well. I will definitely come back! Suggestion: Please switch to Coca-Cola products instead of Pepsi-Cola. Coca-Cola is so much better tasting in my humble opinion.“

“I was looking to for a place that serves tri-tip sandwiches. Often most places don't serve great sandwiches. I was impressed by how amazing my tri-trip sandwich came out. The bread on the outside was crispy. The meat was flavorful. My wife loved the bread on her chicken sandwich. We will be coming back for more.“

“Stopped here on our way to my bonus Mom’s surgery in Sacto. Absolutely great place both service wise and sandwich!! My bbq sandwich was delicious!! My Bonus mom loved her vegi sandwich also. Portions are large and yummy. Employees and customers were very friendly and the food was made faster than we thought it would be. “WarningWell for starters you need to know that the prices on their menu are not accurate!!They are higher than what they are and due to our great inflation that we are going thru.Soo please ask the waiters for the updated price.Now for the foodMmm... i can say that it has flavor and fresh homemade Tortillas. I order the Molcajete Mixto and it was almost perfect. The flavors and seasoning were on point tho it was a little bit spicy on the salsa Verde. As for the meat, the slices are too thin for the price of the Molcajete. I wasn't happy about that at all. I hope that the owners read this and rectified it. I have to give props because i can eat alot of their Tortillas by dipping on the molcajete ?.The Fish Taco was very good and their Fish Ceviche had alot of lemon juice on it and that to me was on point. As for the other tostada it lack some season and it needed more octopus.I have to say that i will come back and try something else from their menu!This place was Yummy For My Tummy ???

“I went here expecting budget-friendly sushi and that’s what I got. Similar to Safeway sushi where the cuts of fish are thinner than usual. The rice with the nigiri tasted strongly of rice vinegar.

The next plate we got was Teriyaki Combination Plate. The flavor of the noodles was excellent although the chicken texture was pretty dry. I wish the portions were bigger.

Overall, I would stick to the plates and not go towards the sushi. It’s best to go to a dedicated sushi restaurant for that part.
I wish they were open on weekends! I’m sure most of the business would come from those days.

“This place reminded me of El Grullense in Los Banos. When I lived in LB that was my goto spot. Ive been living here in Atwater and never noticed Maria's , which is amazing since Ive lived here for 7 years. Im definitely glad I found this place. My fav is menudo and Maria's has it just the way I like it, in a 32oz cup. I also got some mini tacos as well. They also have covered outside eating. This will now be my goto spot. Im looking forward to winter, so I can swing by and pick up some menudo for work. This place is definitely worth 5 stars.
