“Dive bar. I like that. 2 pool tables. Both are pretty damn good. Locals are a bit on the “I’m so tough” side. But not so bad to keep you away. Occasionally there are good shooters there. Good bartenders… and again, 2 good pool tables. I’m in!

“This place is a GEM. I feel like I’m in an indie film every time i visit this place. This place is so freaking cool. It has all the great classics for music and friendly locals and bartender/server. Very eclectic, warm and overall relaxing.
This is by far my favorite sandwich shop in Long Beach. It doesn’t get any better than this place. I’ve had breakfast, lunch and dinner here and they’re all bangers. I have brought multiple people here and they love it just as much! I just haven’t had their pizza and desserts here yet but i wouldn’t be surprised if that was good too. This place is ALL about the bread. Any sandwich you get, you’re going to be invited to the most delicious holding vessel your mouth has ever experienced. The quality of the meats are really good and the balance between them are spectacular. My favorite sandwich so far is the Track Suit. Warm, savory, cheesy, soft, crunchy deliciousness! And that pickled cherry pepper is EPIC. I want one right now! Can’t wait to come back and try more items.
Do yourself a favor and choose your own adventure here. From sitting inside or outside, it is always cool and nice ambiance; and you can always take it to go, the beach is down the street! They also have a deli shop where you can get cheap booze and cocktails in a can! I have also found new soft drinks that are now my favorite here.

Fried chicken was super tasty, not spicy at all if that's what you're looking for though.
Soy garlic ribs were really good too!
Both were way too much for two people. My wife and I are stuffed and there's enough for ones of to have lunch tomorrow.

“Easy check in/out. Friendly staff. Very accommodating for extra amenities. Nice room with microwave/mini fridge. Flat screen tv with many cable channels. Air/heat conditioning in room. If you enjoy having a drink during your stay, Froggys bar next to patio motel. When I need a place to stay, I choose patio motel.“
“Friendly atmosphere, excellent equipment, pool leagues, and great bartenders... there are also quite a few knowledgeable house players who enjoy helping novice players improve their game... i’ve been playing here for years and highly recommend it.“

“I'm visiting from Asia and I really loved the food and service! I know people worry about deep-fried food being heavy and oily because I am one of those people, but none of the food we ordered had me feeling that way. :) You can tell they were cooked well and at the right temperature.
Serving size was also huge! Shrimp and mushrooms were sooo juicy and the curry flavor was really nice. 100% would recommend. Most importantly, our server was super friendly and made sure we had a nice stay 💚“

“Visited the bar with friend as staying in Hermosa. We are soccer fans and the barmen all looked after us by ensuring we could watch our teams in the Champions League. \nPlenty of TVs, friendly staff, drinks well priced, tasty snacks and bar meals. All the bar people were friendly, helpful, good fun and made us customers feel good. Would definitely go there again if in the area. Thanks for looking after us.“
“V Room is the quintessential Dive bar. Everything you want, nothing you don't. Service was excellent, great music, games on TV but conversation stoked by great bar tender and other patrons. No food service here, but easy to get food from nearby.

“I had wonderful time there at Shannon’s On Pine. Everyone who works there are very friendly and service excellent. I was there for a special event with KLBP and The Long Beach Blues Society. All the musicians who played outside in the outdoor eating area were there for The International Day of Music . I want to thank Shannon’s On Pine for staging this event with our 501(c) California Charity The Long Beach Blues Society. Great food,excellent beverages, and fun atmosphere. Even without a special event this place rocks Bob Barr Long Beach, California“

“After a nice bike ride on the beach bike path, i was a little thirsty so i stopped by Hennessy’s and had a bloody mary. I enjoyed it in there nice outdoor patio area sitting on a very comfortable couch/chair. It was a beautiful overcast day.“
